I've self taught myself piano since I was back in high school (~2006). Throughout the following years with first college, then work combined with lack of personal conviction, my practice has been extremely inconsistent. The pattern has always been motivation to play a song for 2 months, quit for 2 years, and repeat. Older and a bit wiser now, I've decided to consistently practice piano to see how good I can become. My ultimate goal is to be able to arrange and improvise songs in a style that is uniquely me.
This channel is a personal log of my musical growth. I like all types of music so you'll find a mix of cover songs here from anime to video game to popular music. I hope to provide some entertainment, meet fellow self-taught musicians, and get constructive criticism. If by chance I instill a spark of motivation in you, that is the greatest reward I could ask for.
So, join me on my journey and let me join in on yours!
Quite long since i last watched something on your channel, but i am glad you still upload despite having a certain pause inbetween. Kinda nostlagic. Anyway, great video and cover!
Maiwei increased TCubed's courage by 5! Besaid Island Piano Collections learned! You can now use 16th notes! Thanks bro! Wouldn't have started on this project without your encouragement! You the MVP
@@TCubedMusic Likewise, your support has been helping me overcome my doubts and because of you I could even run a marathon! So thankful we could connect and even meet!
Yesssss! Love this piano collection version of Besaid Island. Congrats on learning it, it is a very difficult piece. I learned this myself a while back with my piano teacher but never got a chance to record it. Like you, life/work has taken over my life so music is kinda on a backseat as well but I wanna get back in it haha.
How awesome that you also learned it too! It's such a difficult piece, haha. Kudos to you my friend! This song never gets old :) Haha, life can really get in the way of things but I'm glad to hear you're still putting time into music!
@@TCubedMusic Oh thanks, I'll look for it! :) Last time I rewatched the series I remember finding music I loved that wasn't on the OST. It's such a shame when that happens!
One of my favorite scenes in the entire show! But almost all the scenes are my fave lol. Whenever I revisit H&C I always fall in love with the music all over again
Thanks Jimmy! Yeah, it's not a version known to many, but it's a wonderful arrangement and I'm happy your ears got to listen to it for the first time! I hope you're doing well buddy, it's been quite awhile!
Thanks for playing this, it was wonderful. I've been keeping busy with work lol. Don't recall if I ever told you but I moved and started a new job up north in August XD.
Oh wow! Congrats on the new job! It's gotta be keeping you pretty busy if you haven't had time for any uploads! Hope you're still playing the piano when you have time though!
Well, when you put it that way how could I deny the compliments of the great Saitama? Haha! But yeah man, it's a different kind of gain from just lifting and I'm loving it!
thank you so much. you captured Kikyo's melancholic spirit beautifully in the way you played her theme. Truly appreciate it <3 brought back a lot of nostalgia and a bit of sadness. Time flies...
You're very welcome! Thank you for listening. Inuyasha holds a special place in my heart. As I'm much older now than when I watch it, it makes me nostalgic and miss the simpler days of my youth. Time sure does fly! I hope you're enjoying life my friend :)
Great job playing I’ve never played any xenoblade games but this sounds very nice! You inspired me to get my own keyboard and start learning cuz I wanna play the honey and clover split cover you did a while back. Wish me luck!
That's awesome that you're learning piano and even got your own keyboard! Remember to enjoy the process and take your time. It's a worthwhile journey and I wish you all the best! There's nothing quite like learning a song you like and I can't wait for the day you learn how to play Split :)
I definitely missed the piano! It's been so long since the last upload that I forgot how long the recording and post processing takes haha. And no I haven't played any of the Xenoblade games. My brother highly recommends 2 so maybe I should take a crack at that first? How'd you like 1 and 2 before playing 3?
@@TCubedMusic I LOVED 1. Had all the JRPG nostalgia vibes, good story, characters, and nice voice acting. Dude yeah recording can take FOREVER especially wanting the right take. Glad you did it though! I actually haven't played 2 (only watched cutscenes for story) because I dislike the MC. His design, his trope, his voice, too much waifu fanservice. FANTASTIC soundtrack, but I'm not a huge fan of the gatcha waifu mechanic or the overdone fanservice. Not my thing anymore haha I'm sure it's fun to play though. Looks beautiful!
From what you're describing, 2 does not sound like a game I would enjoy for all the reasons you gave, haha. Although I'm not surprised considering the current state of Japanese video games. I'll have to check out 1 and 3 then!
@@TCubedMusic I would watch some cutscenes and see for yourself. Lots of people love it and like the character progression. Especially toward the end lots of tear-jerking moments for them. I am biased and just don't like the art design of the characters and can't take the game seriously because of it haha For sure 1 was a CLASSIC though!
