No but this is so true, every large difference is made up of a million smaller ones. Sometimes its the visions that we think are "small" that end up being the tipping point or catalyst for some larger movement.
We go through these trials by design, which is difficult to understand and accept. Two types of pain exist. 1) Bad feelings 2) Intense emotions. With bad feelings, know it's a signal that you are thinking, acting, or impacting in a way that's not ideal for you. Change what you are doing right away. As Dr. Harris explains, for intense emotions, allow yourself the full pain experience, as the other side of it is freedom. Toxic positivity has no place in any of this!
Amen! I to have had the same battle, GOD is always good! Never allow the thorn in ur side, to distract you from the love and promises of our LORD JESUS CHRIST!
That is my favourite saying, life doesn’t happen TO me, it happens for me. I’ve experienced a cancer diagnosis in the past, and people think I’m weird when I try and explain how grateful I am for that experience! I came out the other side and my life is infinitely more awesome having walked that path! Cheers for your podcast 🙏
Love will not solve addicted people problems. My friend had to wake up on the street all in vomit being passed by neigbours to start thinking that this went to far. Love is important but you have to let them fall. If they wake up in warm bed like nothing happend they will not stop drinking or takeing drugs. Sorry but this is is my honest expirience.
When you make bold, dramatic pivots in your life to pursue something that is more fulfilling. So if you are in a situation and you burn your boats/bridges, you destroy all possible ways of going back to that situation!
Listening to your wisdom from Jacksonville FL. (USA) I'm fortunate to come across your page and I also plan on ordering your book Crucible Leadership: Embrace Your Trials to Lead a Life of Significance. Have an awesome day sir.
If there is a reason why we're alive, then that implies God. If there is something we're called to do then who else but God is calling? Purpose presupposes God. Purpose points us to God. So that tells me the purpose which we seek is to seek God and allow Him to reveal Himself to us.
Great to hear that: A. PE Standard Operating Process are getting better. B. there are platforms like Warwicks and Nick to empower entrepreneurs. There is alot of benefit available to PEs, suppliers, clients, stakeholders and investors if there is an environment within the boards to support and encourage leadership growth in the founders. Keeping them accountable in their personal growth journey and trickle to the bottomline.
I personally lived and learnt the hard way, shattered self esteem as an entrepreneur, got help, survived and thriving in helping others with the experience from the $3m events that happened to me between 2013-2019. through: - engineered fear and uncertainty on my identity as a founder, the future of business vs. future calls/growth - wedges created between me and my my board and SMT ; edged out of CEO, replaced by PE hand picked - manipulated realities/experiences that disproportionately shifted advantage to PE team - collusion between key PE and my company SMT staff (unbeknownst to the fund owners and anchor investors) to siphon funds through fictitious financial transactions
Scale up your significance - What happens when you change your mindset Be grateful, Be brave, Have faith, Show up to build a business that has impact (have power to solve societal problems, empower you teams, while you profitably run your business) "If you help others have what they need in life, you get all you need in life" Zig Ziglar
Wow, Gary has quite an impressive story! From his childhood, to 'reprobate' status, to hitting rock-bottom, to AA, to Christian Faith and Focus On The Family, to Hollywood adventures, to Roar. Great lessons and takeaways from his crucibles. Thanks so much for asking great questions, and giving Gary space to share his story, Warwick. (And for someone like me who prefers RU-vid content, thanks for uploading the episode here!)
