Is it easy to strip down further as my anti reverse has stopped working on one of mine and i'm thinking about stripping it down to try and fix myself but not sure if it's sn easy task or not.
How does a reverse spigot make it stronger in the butt section. A normal rod would be lighter in the tip and stronger in the but I feel like revers will only make the tip section heavier and stronger but the butt section more hollow and weaker (lighter butt yes but weaker)
Its not about the weight its about the rod having the stiffness and strength to put more power as you cast. If the tip is very light it will whip on the cast, the revers spigot makes the action smother through the rod to transfer the power from the cast.
May I ask. I keep seeing these reels if you look at the spool on your phone looks like the spool hold little line. I no its taller than most but my reels the part you put line on it sets way back on spool. Yours looks like only holds a third of the line. Does it use less or when they made the spools taller they made middle part bigger so only use 150 yards like reg bass or Carp maybe bream also. But how much line yours hold say 20p test. Hi. I've not found them to hold any less than reels I've had in the past to be fair. I tend to spool my reels with 200yards of 12 or 15lb line, other spools I have had to put backing on due to how deep they are but haven't on these.
I'll definitely vouch for the silkwire, its brilliant. Sinks better than any other supple braid ive ever seen. It sinks on its own with no weight attached. Also super strong.
