I stayed in Lima earlier this year for a few months. I fell in love with city and the beautiful sunsets. I plan to return again and spend even more time there. I found the people to be very pleasant and there was so many great restaurants and delicious food.

I took a spontaneous road trip alone in the year 2000 on Labor Day weekend, starting late Saturday afternoon from the Bay Area. I drove 395 southbound from Reno until the highway that leads to Mojave, CA. I slept Saturday night in my car near Topaz Lake--there was no room at the inn--and Sunday night at a motel in Bishop. I took lots of photos on my Kodak DC-290 digital camera, most of which while driving. What made me want to take 395 was to see something unnatural: the HVDC transmission line that runs between Sylmar and a place in Oregon near sources of hydropower. What transportation did you guys take to get back to the hotel after the water show? Is it safe walking on the streets at night? Flying to Lima soon. Excited.
We usually just book Ubers to travel to different places in Lima and we stayed in Miraflores. When we had time we also walked around to explore a bit, but the areas we went to were usually not sketchy, so we walked pretty comfortably. Hoping you had a wonderful visit! 😄

@@TheraFIREvlog yeah Peru is so underrated, I almost miss my trip to this country during my journey in Latin America. I was so glad I went. Lima is my favorite city because the temperature is on the goldilocks zone of comfy temperature and never rains. Im no longer in Peru but definitely plan to come back. Still didnt have time to upload my peru trips. Never seen any Filipino in Peru except in Cusco.
