Wow wonderful video. All the videos on your channel are fantastic. But your video views are lower. Because your optimization is very poor. Your optimization needs to improve as soon as possible.,....................,
Well I got womansplained to when I did Percy for the eclipse. Arrived to many cars and wasn't familiar with area. Get out of car in crocs and ask a group of women about parking and one of the group responds "you're going to there like that? PLEASE DONT!"
It was great to meet you guys at the AMC Dinner Saturday! Unfortunately I'm not a FB user so I get shut out of the Buddy hikes. I joined a group I saw on Hancock a few weeks ago and it was fun! Wish I could get involved without joining FB😢
Stay in my lane in the woods always too. This was until a came across a group of young 20 somethings firing rocks off a busy Mount Major! We won't hit anyone....ugh!
I'm new to the podcast and these are great. I just went back on spotify to check if you had more and added them all to my downloded/saved lists. These are great!
I just hiked in the presidential range last week and to think of being out there geared up like this guy is said to be it’s just unbelievable to me. To go out there with normal hiking boots non-insulated in those conditions plus wearing a cotton T-shirt is unreal. Glad this guy is safe to hike another day but I really really hope people stop going into those mountainswithout being prepared properly.
I feel terrible for Chris, but ultra light or whatever. Hiking in the winter up there it’s just not a good idea and can have really bad consequences. Whenever I am at a high peak area in winter, I am always prepared. If not with the tent, I at least have an emergency Bibby, a blanket hand and body warmers, and a stove. It means to make a fire. Just the essentials so you could at least heat up something up to drink and coveryourself and always wear extra layers. You can take them off and put them in your pack if you need to, but if you need them you have them to put on. Just a really really sad situation.
Glad I found this channel! Solo summited my first high peak in the Whites yesterday. Usually go to Catskills or ADK but so glad I got to the Whites. Next level stuff!
Hiked the cog back in December...great trip and an easier path to follow in lousier conditions. Saw a video the other day of a skier coming down the Cog. How is that when they come by you at speed when you are hiking up or down??
Another great episode! Something that was not mentioned by Tobey or Meghan is that if you take the Snowcoach up, you can either ride, snowshoe, or ski down! You must stay on the auto road, so you need to be aware of other Coaches coming and going. I snowshoed down on an exceptional bluebird sky day last winter. It was amazing!!
Had a recent breakdown with a new hiker. We were in a group of 3. I played good cop and our other companion played bad cop in an effort to get the person down Webster Cliffs before dark and cold set in. Twas an interesting afternoon but we got out just at dark
Good episode! Ran into a Hiking Buddies group on Friday and mentioned hearing about it on a podcast. "Sounds like a Search and Rescue!!" a few responded
Same as me girls! Never hiked Monadnock. Went once with my dog that hiked in the Whites his whole life. We got denied at the Rangers check in. Pack Monadnock is where we went and never went back!
