Awesome Kevin! A great video. And congrats on how well your channel is doing. Curious if you ever put your kayak in the water down there? I know it’s technically ‘not allowed’ due to alligator risk. Ugh. I think Rockefeller would be one of the best kayaking spots ever and could catch a ton of reds. Only reason I haven’t gone down there yet. Wish those rules weren’t in place. Good luck ahead! Good eating for sure!!!

It’s funny you say that, I was thinking the same thing. A lot of area to explore there. I didn’t know kayaks were restricted, that’s good to know. Don’t wanna film myself committing a crime lol. That area also is gator central, and so used to people being around. Fishing has been a little tough lately, wanted to try something different. Can’t wait for fall! Thanks for the comment and looking forward to more of your videos as well!

I remember that video from last year, great to see it with some water and some life back at a very cool looking area. That was wild seeing that gator, I know it was a pain, but very cool to watch. That was a big storm that hit and good to see you get a good feed out of the day. Well done!
@LaYakFishing
@LaYakFishing 13 дней назад
You can tell the gators are accustomed to people. If you’re a gator, and born in that area, you hit the jackpot! Free chicken. I didn’t get it on camera, but lightning was striking really close to me, I moved away from that metal bridge, it was a little concerning. Thanks for watching!

Yea fun to catch and good to eat, feels good to save a little money and try and catch your own food. That area can produce way more crabs at different times, but glad to at least get almost 2 dozen. Thanks for watching 🦀

I’m not against hunting at all, in fact I’m a hunter myself but this, this is what I’m against. I would never kill an animal just for fun. Theres a bullet hole right in between the eyes and you couldn’t at least took this beauty back and ate it smh. People like this give hunters a bad rep
@bwerd6572
@bwerd6572 17 дней назад
You’re fishing too shallow. Which also puts your bait WAY to close to your bobber. You’re also using too big of a bobber. You also shouldn’t be using that shad lure. A little tube jig would be much better. Blue and white, black & chartreuse and maybe even black and pink for where you’re fishing. You’re also not fishing with nearly enough action (popping of your cork)…In short, you’re not doing anything right. Make those changes and you would have caught 10x as many fish that day…Sac-a-lait are school fish so each time you caught 1 there was another 5 to 50 right there that didn’t want anything to do with your presentation.
