Hey man this has got to be one of the best vids out present day. Such a simple fix. I was over here buying everything but the new spark plug/wire as well
I was given different specs than what you're quoting for the torque to yield head bolts. I was given 18 ft lb, then 60°, then 60°, then 60°, then finishing up with 10° (supposedly from all data)
My specs alldata also. As mentioned, every year of torque specs, at least the years adjacent to mine were not the same. Blow out the head bolt holes just before setting the head on.
I recently swapped heads on a 196cc to the 14cc head and havent had much luck with carburetors. What carb size and jetting would you run with this head?
Wrong plugs. Gotta check the length on the plugs or youll have the piston smash at top of the stroke. Amazing the pistons are not damaged. Had a dealer sell me plugs too long. Always always check the length. Just because their computer says its right dont mean its right.
Also I purchased a Cruze and checked Timing with Timing Tool Kit. Timing was out one or two teeth. No compression. Probably all bent valves. Yet to strip down
I got the Timing Tool Kit. Do a Trade job and save bucks. Use trade tools, to achieve Professional Results . I speak this because, I see others put on brand new heads and bent all their valves, without the Recommended Tools
Lol idk why ppl are trippin you can’t really measure super tiny drops little bit of guessing Thx for the video going to repair some rust on my 1966 impala with fiberglass
Thanks, some viewers thought it was lame I wasn't sure where I was going with it. It's hard to measure it exactly due to the temperature change it's better to have too much and have it blow up on you, compared to, not enough hardner and never dry. At that point at least you know to put a little less in your mixed so it doesn't dry so quick, that's better than never having it dry.
Wrong or backwards beltor possibly your front clutch(your driver) isn't engaging take the bolt out, remove that gray spacer with the 4 ribs on it, that should fall thru the outer piece the comes off with it. If it's sticks or is stuck nothing will happen. If this is a trick question then I would ask,"is the chain installed ". Is it trying to engage, do you smell any rubber burning 🔥
Cut Another piece and try again get it to where you have to bow it and bow it some more to get it into the slots then push it flat it'll work its way into the grooves and it's not going anywhere unless somebody kicks it with their foot.
Hey I really need someone’s help or suggestions at least, my engine will idle just fine but when I give it gas just a little bit it dies on me I have no clue what I should do, the engine is also bran new so I don’t know what it could be I’ve already checked the carb valves and I’ve check the spark plug. I don’t know what to do.
Hey man, do you think if I change the filter for a aftermarket cold air intake, will change the performance of the vehicle (?) The vehicle is past 200k miles and is not really worthy to buy an OEM filter
do you think that the spark plug wire could prevent the predator from starting, I replaced my carb and it still isn't starting and when it starts it dies when you accelerate? pls help
@@user-jh5mn6qn3j no I wrote that comment before I checked for spark, it ended up being a massive air leak at the carb intake because of a ripped gasket that caused it to die out after I gave it throttle. I've found that usually there aren't spark issues on theses predator engines.
I have been searching the Google, RU-vid for a Dodge Ram 1500 intake manifolder removal. No luck with that. You are the first video showing that. Question: how did you get that coil mounting bolt loose? Amazing video. Thanks!
Good video! Question I have, the bolts that hold the ignition coils speaking. Are they removable? I just happen to replace the spark plugs to my Dodge Ram 1500, 2002, 4.7 l. Two bolts snapped off. Thanks!
