Nice dead stick, if this was a real emergency and a stretch to get to the runway, I'd think you'd leave the gear up until the last minute. Sink rate would probably improve with gear-up.
Well, it's a lovely, well-judged approach and landing, but you really can't complain about >1200 fpm rate of sink when the plane wasn't properly trimmed for 92kts (look at your subsequent control inputs), and then you put on about 50 degrees of bank! (See clip at 55 seconds) lol! None of that matters though. You landed very well indeed in a practice engine-out scenario. Well done.
It is real! Rottnest Island is a small island a few miles west of Perth, Australia. Definitely a great spot for a day trip with the good old 182. Glad you liked it!
That roll @ 3:06, was all he could stand. Good thing you quit when you did, or that little bag may not have been able to take the load it was about to get. Nice job flying.
@hassoow93 @hassoow93 thanks, glad u like it. It is beautiful little camera! And yes i did some minor brightness and contrast adjustments llike i do with every video to bring the different scenes on one level... but no color editing... cheers
