Looking forward to doing the Manitou Incline again next month and checking out cheyenne canyon/ the seven bridges and playing some pickleball next month. Bear creek park i think, monument park was a bit too busy for me last year 😂 will have to add this to the list
There’re different water services in the city, if you’re in Cherokee Water District, you’ll pay quite a bit more for water. If you live outside city limits in an unannexed area you’ll pay more for water. The city sales/use tax is 8.2%, but some strip malls charge a PIF fee that goes into the developers pocket. Car and homeowners insurance is astronomical, between yearly devastating hail, windstorms, fires, and aggressive dangerous drivers insurance companies charge us a premium even for baseline coverage. If you have a wood burning fireplace/wood stove expect to pay at least $250/cord. Trash service is experiencing some trouble, you’ll pay your monthly fee yet they may or may not pick up your trash. If you live on the Westside they passed a law that you must have a “bear proof” trash bin. The AFA is in the N part of the city, expect the highway and any road that leads to the airport (SE part of the city) to close when the President gives the graduation commencement. It’s super annoying because it affects nearly every major roadway in the city, stay aware of that and plan your day accordingly. It’s important to understand that locals are pretty irritated about the growth in the last 10 years, it used to be a friendly place where everyone smiled and said hi, now that behavior can get you shot. The Mexican Cartels operate here through the “dreamer” kids, be very careful/aware. We also have 5 military bases and countless defense contractors, the local government caters to them and the pop-up mega churches that are attempting to take over our country through local government/school boards.
Consider the source. These guys want to sell you a house. Oakwood feeds them them what they want on the video and these guys put it all together. Oakwood can't deliver.
This is a joke, right? Over crowded, crime ridden, grid lock traffic, butt ugly city. It is horrible here. Road range aweful, highways jammed. Run away.
Super helpful thank you for doing this, I will be visiting in July looking to move by September, I am from Chicago IIllinois. I am gonna check out this community for sure.
I read a lot of conflicting information about how much snow Colorado Springs gets per year. I really am tired of the snow, so this is a big factor for me in moving here. Throughout the winter months is there normally snow on the ground from day to day in the lower elevations? Thanks!
Lived there for 30 years used to be great but that was be California and texass ruined it they brought their B S with them i can't think of a pro i don't have time to list the con's i left 2 years ago you couldn't pay me enough to go back no i am not telling where i moved
Right now Colorado Springs is just being marketed. Hawaii was being marketed as a Paradise, which it is not. If people use there heads, they will realize this is all for profit propaganda. Best place to live folks? The places the greedy are not marketing for profit. Soon Colorado will be known as...”A good place to visit, but I wouldn’t wanna live there.” I am looking to move from Hawaii. Lived in Hawaii all my life, but it’s loaded with drugs, homelessness, with no end insight. Trust me, Colorado is not on my list. I see it as another California/Hawaii.

Downtown Colorado Springs is Blowing up with homeless people all over the place especially that park because they can’t afford the rent in this nasty town.
@@livingincoloradosprings1 I don’t. I can’t stand a city that puts signs up that say Don’t Do Hand Outs. Colorado Springs acts like homeless are animals. Colorado Springs sucks. Worst city I have ever visited and I’ve been to a lot of city’s across the USA. Joe Biden is a clown 🤡.
Extremely expensive and not worth it. The traffic is so bad if the mountains caught fire you would die. Crime is the worst I have ever seen in cs and I lived in charlotte nc for a year. Car wrecks seem to be the daily thing. Car insurance is over the mountains. Property management for rentals is ridiculous and if you have a dog he has to fill out a rental application too and have a credit score. I’m serious about the dog lol. Your home Utility bills are worse than fluctuating gas pump prices. We are moving back to our home state so we can have some money left. Colorado is way to much for my family. I had all I need. Later
Homeless people everywhere. They live in the woods right downtown Colorado Springs. Crime of every type happens daily. There is always a couple of murders every day or shootings. Robbery is the worst that l’ ever seen in any city. Colorado Springs is a clown 🤡 town. Money is what Colorado Springs wants. Property managers have overpriced rental homes and they blame California move ins for it. A maddening town.
