I think this would be 10x harder if at the end they had to drink a steaming hot bowl of spicy soup. That or even hot rice. Chilli and temperature hot food is a killer
@katieroberts5141 since being involved in these events for 12 years we have never had anybody complain of any damage to their stomach. If somebody had a pre-existing condition though, we don't allow them to participate, just to be on the safe side!
The first time I bought those tiny red chillis from Tesco i went for a pee after cutting them up and inadvertently rubbed my eye with my knuckle. I had my pride and joy in cold water whilst dashing water in my eye ... it was not funny.
