:) It's just held on with adhesive. Use a hair dryer to heat it up to loosen the adhesive, and you can use a razor blade or Xacto knife to pry it off. Then you will need new replacement adhesive and the replacement glass to re apply. Check mobilesentrix.com or rounded.com to see if they have the replacements.
My Pixel 8 makes a "rattling" sound when I shake it. I believe it's somewhere on the upper part. It never dropped as far I know. So actually looked for a teardown video to check what it could be, looking to the internals. But everything seems to be tightly fitted and screwed. It seems there're not actually components that might have gotten loose. Anyone anny idea if this is normal or not. And if not, what it could be?
@@PBKreviews Thanks for the response. Thought already something like this. Had something similar with the Pixel 6a, but on the 8 it's clearly louder and more present. So I was wondering if it could have been a loose component. But everything looks tight fitted and screwed. So I thought it probably could only be the front camera or the image stabilisation.
4:14 So that's where the microphone is located. Okay, I must have missed where the receiver is. 4:29 That's where it is! I need to check to see if the ear piece speaker is off. I could not hear a thing with out the bluetooth head set. 1 hour later. I know why I couldn't hear anyone when I was on the phone. I forgot to transfer the component when I was replacing my phone screen!
@@PBKreviews I had to order another speaker sadly. I tired to pull it out because I didn't have a heat source that was adequate enough to remove the speaker. It still works, but with out it sticking to the metal casing, the sound quality has diminished. However, with this silver lining, I don't have to pay someone else to do it. I have gone through a lot of DIY projects recently in the past 2 months!

In this newer model, they mainly sell the screen itself now due to the titanium frame. However they do sell the combo also just harder to find since they do screen only replacements primarily for this model.
