@@jamesmcclelland1414 You are right, my mistake. Thanks for the correction. I was not around in that era, but later when I did watch Dick Clark performances I was very very impressed by his openness and graciousness when speaking with all sorts of people. But when it comes to dancing Soul Train was just wow.
Oh yeah I was born in the '50s so this is my era. When I was a young adult girl we had some good times. Believe me this bring back some wonderful wonderful memories watching Soul Train and going to the clubs later on that night. Doing just what we saw on Soul Train. No shootings, no fighting. Just straight up. Partying I really miss those days
Soul Train came on every Saturday. I would shout out to my brothers and sister Soul Train line on. They would come running around the TV. GOOD OLD DAYS. .
Soul. Train was so awesome but the early years were the best. They were just so cool bad ass dancers the clothes the music the afros. Afro puffs platforms hot pants bell bottoms love it all. I have the box set. Just love the 70s !!!!!!!!!!!
Watching these clips of the Soul Train Line brings back precious memories of being a child and watching Soul Train every Saturday afternoon. Seeing these incredible dancers had me thinking how incredible it would have been if The Nicholas Brothers made a special appearance in the line.😀
Arguable the greatest Soul Train Line and song! For those who don't know...in Los Angeles, that step that they are doing was called "The Crazy Legs!" As seen and done by the students from Dorsey, Lock and Crenshaw High school. Wakanda Forever!!!
SATURDAY MORNING WE HAD TO CLEAN THE HOUSE . THEN WE WATCHED SOUL TRAIN EVERY SATURDAY. HAD NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. BLACK PEOPLE KNOW HOW TO GET DOWN . THE 70S ROCKED I WAS BORN IN 61 . TIME HAS FLOWN BY WE HAD SOOO MUCH FUN BACK THEN MEMORIES.
I was a teen when this come out..I remember parties on Friday and Saturday nights and watching soul train before I stepped out to go party. Fond memories.
