This channel is about my weekend adventures. I work as a Network Engineer during the week and on the weekends I like to have some adventures. It's basically my adventure journal. My adventures include backcountry riding on my KTM 500 exc-f and KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. I like to include photography while on my adventures.
Thanks for posting. Great video. I was flying the black and white flowform with the big US Flag, on the other side of Morro Creek. (You can see it come into view at 1:48).
Great video footage! Just so you know, this beach is Tajiguas (pronounced "taheegus"), a popular surf spot with lots of parking space, and yes, it's part of the Gaviota stretch. The video starts between Refugio and Tajiguas - "locals" sometimes park where the two palm trees are and walk down from there - a much more secluded beach.
Greetings Steve! Used your video to "pre-ride" Sierra Madre for a trip this past month. Thank you! Buddy and I rode in from 166 on Cottonwood-Bates (the closed gate @7:38), then west back to 166. Finished the day with a ride over Hi Mountain to Pozo. Rode home next day via Pozo Road and Elkhorn through the Carrizo. I look forward to getting up there again, maybe camp at Miranda Pine (all the other campgrounds up there appear to be permanently closed). Ever ridden Colson Canyon past the double gates?
I love that rocky back section of jackass! From the meadow to jackass peak is really nice. update: Just seen you were riding solo back there?!?! your crazy man, always have at least someone else with you. awesome video though.
I can tell you love your 500 and your rides. I love my 22, can't get enough of how much more I enjoy life since I got it! Have you been over to Jawbone canyon at all? I was thinking about taking a drive down to check it out, looks cool.
@@c.f33s4 If you are getting a drone for tracking I wouldn't get this one. It tracks ok if you go slow and are not going downhill or making switchbacks. Check out my video, "Quick ride on Plaskett ridge 4k" it shows some avoidance of obstacles.
My 1290 would make it. There is one section on the way up that would be difficult especially fully loaded. You would definitely need some knobby tires for that section. After that, there would be no problems.
Thank you. I get better each time I make a video. It's nice to get a comment. I checked out some of your videos as well. Cool. What kind of drone do you use?
@@garbink I was on my ktm 500. I figure I stopped about 1000 yards from the bottom. I could see about 400 yards that I knew I could get back up but there was a 90 degree left turn and couldn't see. If I had to start from where I could see. It would be challenging.
