The good ending feels sad while the evil feels sodestructive the evil is like your a emperor ruling the city w8th fear while the good ending is like you want to be there for others but you are lonely with no one to talk or hang out with both are cool endings but the good makes my heart feel so sad for cole in the good ending
If you rush hell pit and skavenblight in any dwarven campaign and get the dwarven "menace below" you can summon 2 units of miners with blasting charges for all the armies in your territories It is one of the best rewards of the game and one of the best buffs that the dwarves received for defense in early and mid game and situational but still pretty good in late game (they can wipe out several artillery units and cripple ranged units very very quickly).
Dunno about Total Warhammer 2 and 3, but in 1 they're pretty good. With Grombrindal i keep putting them just behind the irondrakes and by the time an unarmored unit reaches the line, the leadership is already broken and they're getting wiped out by getting shot in the back.
@@germanmandalorian3514 At the start of the campaigns in Total Warhammer 1? Sure. Only 1 flamethrower Irondrakes troop for a pretty long time, hard to keep whole greenskin armies at bay. Especially if they brought boars
@@rafaelcastor2089 Ah, completly understandable. So or so i was saying this more as a Joke... (even) Firelines of Dwarfs with all thier Guns, Crossbows, Canons, Flamethrowers and more cant hold everything. =) ...What absolute deserve more Grudges that they make thie Shields and Armour of my Dawi Fronttroopers dirty.
good question. bloodletters (if i remember right) are still tier one so in terms of raw power its them, not even close. in terms of cost effectiveness however, that would be the free stuff (zombies, any kind of slave unit etc). and then likely ogre bulls. since you can buff them so easily they end up punching above their weight and even beating bloodletters in SP. after that you have the peasant archers, as well as HE archers and darkshards. all of them will do more ranged damage but will not do much if any dmg in melee. AND THEN, you could probably argue miners (blasting charges) beat out the rest.
Very interesting, I forgot to take the Daemons of Chaos into consideration when it came to tier 1 units. Curious to hear what you think about how the combination with Legendary Lord starting abilities would place more value in some starting units?
1. Kessler's Death: Kessler was killed, but it wasn't Cole who did it. 2. Time Travel and Technology: If Kessler had a family before teleporting back in time, the technology he used wouldn't have been created so quickly. This suggests that Kessler helped develop it after ripping himself from his original timeline. 3.Future Self and Paradox: Kessler is not Cole's future self. If Cole had encountered his future self, it could have doomed the timeline to limbo. Meeting your future self can create paradoxes, especially if your future self tries to influence you under a disguise. 4.Cole's Reaction to Kessler: If Cole realised Kessler set a trap for his girlfriend, his hatred for Kessler would intensify. Additionally, if Cole thought his future self (Kessler) was responsible for the 5.trap, it could have led to the destruction of the timeline due to the conflicting emotions and actions because his photo would show something else if he did mess with time.
something I like that probably wasn’t intentional is coles voice, in the good ending it’s lighter and sounds more akin to how he sound in infamous 2, kinda hinting to me that this is the cole that would end up beating the beast like it happens in 2 in the evil ending coles voice is dark and full of malice, not similar to his voice in 2 at all and it makes sense to me as well, if cole had stayed in empire city as it sounds like he plans to do in the evil ending, he would have most likely died so there would never be a connection between evil Cole and the second game
The atmosphere for the good ending gives me chills to this day man. The music, Cole’s thoughts, and the expression of the lonliness he feels in the aftermath is perfect 🥲
It's really sad that such amazing games like Infamous series is literally dead because of Sony's selfishness and greed. Now not many people even know this game at all.
I forgot just how depressing the "good" ending was in this game. Goes to show that being a "hero" is far more taxing and full of burden than it is to be an outright villain.
and how its morally ambivalent and grey, relativism in the 2nd game he may have killed thousands but at least he is saving the world and this ending is foreshadowing him becoming the beast
After looking back at the good ending of this game, it's very powerful and deep tbh. Cole being betrayed by Zeke and Moya was the last nail in the coffin for him not to mention his dead girlfriend Trish. We see a hero who is very deeply flawed and scared that people will turn on him if he's not there to save them. A man that risked everything to get revenge on the man that gave him powers but in the end he was alone with nothing but his powers and all of sudden has to face the biggest threat he's ever faced. I know Zeke returns in the second game and him and Cole are cool again. But the way they end things in this game I felt it was very realistic and grounded. Cole having doubts if he's the hero the city deserves and him coming to terms with his powers really made the good ending incredible imo
POTENTIAL SPOILERS!!!! Isn’t it ironic that John, otherwise known as the beast, only became the beast because of the ray sphere blast as John was caught in the blast while trying to stop Cole from opening it? Why not just stop the ray sphere from ever existing? The only flaw I can think of is that if the ray sphere never existed then Cole would have never obtained the power to go back in time in the first place which makes it moot.
Supposedly Kessler did not know the plague was caused by the radiation, only that Conduits were immune. That, or he knew, but besides defeating the Beast, he also wanted his powers that much.
I’ll never forget the first time I beat this game. I was in 7th grade at the time and I got goosebumps when it showed the picture. I stayed up late that night contemplating the entire game. One of the best plot twists in gaming history
Hero Cole: does whatever it takes to make empire city a better place Evil Cole: does whatever it takes to abandon empire city and leave it as a hellhole
And then there is my Cole, who does whatever it takes (mainly manipulate and create a good image) to take control and prepare to take on the world powers, should they get any ideas.
Can you guys imagine a alternate timeline where at the end battle Cole gets latched onto by Kessler seeing the memories from his timeline and him living and having the second game take place with both of them fighting off the beast together
That's what I was saying! Why didn't Kessler and Cole just team up to defeat The Beast. I get it, Kessler was preparing for Cole mentally and physically, but couldn't he have done all that by training Cole?
Always loved the bittersweet ending to the good aftermath. Cole having been betrayed by Moya and Zeke is finally at a point where he is at peace but at the cost of his friendships with others
