Awesome video, 90 showed her true speed without coaches is quite impressive with the return at Carpenters. It’s sad that 90 is under her rebuild now, but hopefully she’ll return by the fall or Christmas season. Real shame though that she couldn’t be running for her 100th birthday.
To supply the train with dynamic breaking. The stretch from Penobscot to Pittston is a steep downhill grade, and the dynamic breaks in the diesels help prevent the crew from losing control of the train.
nous sommes loin de la sublime pacific 231 qui si les origines sont les plans de concept américain et qui a trouvé sont apogée des 1922 et modifié 3 fois sur le réseau ferroviaire SNCF.
It looks like the second half of the train is painted in a PRR inspired striped maroon scheme, I believe I recognize some of these as ex-Iowa Pacific cars which means they probably painted them recently. I can't wait to see what it looks like when the whole train is painted in a fresh coat and each car is given that makeover. There's just something so satisfying about a full length train in a singular colour scheme, I hope we get to see excursions like that for many years to come.
