Mine is almost the same except instead of going black. It turns on. Works for a few seconds and then freezes and none of the touch screen or buttons to control the radio work. Not even the steering wheel volume.

@D Klien hey, Sadly no... I had to Jumpstart my car and since that day it's been giving me issues. I tried all I've seen online so far but nothing seem to help. While jumpstarting the car the radio and screen worked. As also the next 30 miles I drove after the Jumpstart. However the day after the radio and screen all of a sudden did not work anymore and also the indicator sound is down. I did find out that the Chevy cruze is actually based on a European car called Opel Astra. It's basically the same car except for the body. So I started looking at videos from that "brand" in the hope to get it back up and running
I tried this on my 2016 Chevy Cruze and it worked. My brother drained my batery and had to get a jump start causing my radio screen to go black. Thank you for sharing this video making it easier to fix the issue and not pay to take it to the shop.
My wife's Cruze was having this same issue. Prior to this particular one, the display would go nuts on an off going over bumps and so would the dash lights, eventually it was figured to be the ground cable and had that replaced which fixed everything. Skip ahead a few years to a few weeks ago and her MyLink started doing exactly what yours is doing. I followed what a lot of people have suggested: I replaced the fuses, took it off battery for 10 minutes, let the door open with the ignition on...nothing. We figured it out today. Simply pairing her phone via Bluetooth while driving reset the screen and it started working like magic. We reset the clock, parked to go shopping and came back with her phone Bluetooth off and it still worked like nothing had happened. After we got home, I started it again without the phone and it still was working fine. So for everyone having issues, this may be a solution, but you have to have had it paired with some device before it started having issues.
I have a Sonic 2013 and have a similar issue... my radio and any car sound only works when they want. Most part of the time they don't want to. Don't know what to do... Will try the 5 minute wait...
I am having a complete different problem, my 2013 chevy ECO , Radio goes on and the MYCHEVYLINK CONTROL WORKS BUT A FEW SECONDS later it FREEZES the hold system freezes, not even the steering wheel control switches don't work, the '""ONSTAR"" DOES WORK BUT go cant use the mychevylink on the control panel , IT ALL IS FROZEN, so if anyone can give me some can kind hand iIT WILL BE A BIG HELP and one more thing the dealership wants $160.00 just to run a troubleshot, just to see it I need a new radio which I NOW IT WORKS, it's all a bunch of BULLSHIT IF YOU ASK ME , WELL there you have A PROBLE IN low budget mans pocket well keep in tune OK ! thanks
My solution to you is going on eBay and finding a used radio for your car because you'll have to still install it after then you have to go to a chevy dealer to have them reprogram it to your car. I went to the dealer and paid the diagnostic fee of 75, then they told me it was a bad radio and not something else, then I took it out and went to a aftermarket dealer to see what they could do, they shipped it to a company who they say will fix it, I paid for shipping and labor to fix about 250 about 3 weeks later my radio was in, but after installing it I found out they just replaced it with another car because the one they gave me was to a sonic, it's compatible with the cruze but I knew it wasn't mine, and then I still had to pay the dealer 75$ to reprogram it to my link.
IDK. What dont you understand? I had to eventually get a new radio. Go to ebay and search for it and you still have to get it rebooted by the dealer. But it saves money to install it yourself.
I have a 2014 Cruze and mine did the same thing. I replaced all the fuses that had to do with the radio, even if they looked good. It works perfectly now
I changed the fuses and it worked, however I had to change the number 7.5 fuse (kept burning out the 7.5 fuse and screen kept blacking out) to a number 10 fuse I seem to work fine in the infotainment system...
@@bonanza7089 I did the same thing. Put a 10 instead of the 7.5 because the 7.5 burned out like instantly. But the 10 seemed to do the same thing after like 2 days. Gonna replace the 20 fuse next to see if that helps
@@leomoh1241 there is some bizarre juju in the 2013 Chevy Cruze. Radio will come on with no keys and heaven forbid the key fob dies because you're car will forever think you're stealing it every time you start it...but I've heard replacing the negative battery cable will solve it. Now wait till you're doing 75 on the freeway and it goes into reduced power mode and tops out at 6mph!!! I have no doubt Chevy has cost people there lives in the 2013 Chevy Cruze....Cruzing into HELL maybe!!!
Narek I had the same promblem. Don't have ignition by key, only button Start/Stop. When I turn on mode acc (the same igniton, as I understand) and open the door after 4 minutes the acc mode turn off. That's why I can't leave the door open for 5 minutes. May be I do something wrong? Thank you
Did you replace the ground wire? There is a TSB on it. I saw it in another video. I am having a similar issue except nothing works for mine then the next day it works again. Not sure what ima do.
Yea that was one thing I did, but eventually I had to replace the stereo got it out of a Chevy volt off eBay and I had to pay a dealership to calibrate it to the Cruze
I ended up going to the dealership for a diagnostics and they told me something I already knew, my radio is bad! Wow really?! Ik that but then I uninstalled my head unit took it to a aftermarket dealer they told me they would ship it off to get fixed for shipping and labor It was somewhere between 170-250 i don't really remember sorry, But if I had to do it again I would of just bought a used one off eBay. They didn't fix my radio they just sent me one to a chevy sonic and i found that out after i reinstalled the radio after 3 weeks. Then you still have to go to the dealer to have them reprogram it which was another 75.
Mine is 2011 Chevy Cruze with 60k miles on it and my sound don’t work for radio and blinker sound. The radio is fuzzy but it does turn on. Has like lines running through it . I accidentally put battery jumper cables on wrong 🤦🏽♂️.
Reminds me of exactly what I do every time I think about my 2013 chevy cruze radio. But mine was locked when I bought it, and no online fixes have worked to get the radio working, so I havent even heard the speakers once in the 2 months I've had it.
I've been having this issue too...I wanna say it's thanks to my anti-theft being triggered when my keyfob battery died....my controls and my screen dipped out too....but I've heard if you replace the negative battery cable it fixes the issue. I'm gonna give it a try and see.
@@pelicanphuucker4life let me know. Two years later and my radio is still locked lol. Too stubborn to pay chevy to unlock it just for it to happen Again.
I had the same issue and I went to the dealership and they told me it's gonna cost $855 for the part inside the radio and $125 for the labor. All the guy said was the part # which is 84072465.
I'm sorry If you don't like it why did you take time outta you're day to watch it and reply something like that? Be positive strong and independent and find shit out on your own and get tf on somewhere wit all that bs.
