DO NOT ORDER FROM THE NIS AMERICA WEBSITE. I preordered Trails from Daybreak almost a year ago and the game has been out for almost a month. I received no update of shipping. At this point, I am viewing the situation as if I have been robbed from them. I emailed and called multiple times, no response. Don’t trust them with your money.
Just bought all of games of the series and the new released daybreak 1 hopefully i can finish all of them b4 daybreak 2 releases since ive never played any 😅
Everyone who makes a comment like this has never actually seen the console they're deriding. If you actually compare any of their latest games to their PSP ones, you'd see that such a claim is absurd. Also, in case you're saying so just because it's not high-budget, AAA graphics suck.
22:36 going to expand on Kondo's statement of where to start on the Trails series. Better to start ANYWHERE than nowhere at all. If want to start from the beginning at Sky, that would be the IDEAL starting point. Want to start somewhere a bit modern but isn't tooo far into the overall arching story? Cold Steel is that middle ground starting point. Sky, Zero, Cold Steel too old and outdated for you? Daybreak is the where you want to go to but you'd definitely need to backtrack into the older games after Daybreak
I hope we would have interviews with falcom composer team, especially Singa who somehow got so much garbage thrown from the internet. Knowing him better would make those haters, well, less hating.
Nihon Falcom should start localizing their games with people that respect the art of the company. Wokalizers ar NISA think that because they have access to someone else's creation, they can inject theit regressive agenda into it. I've seen worse wokalizations, buy NISA id ruining Nihon Falcom's work little by little.
Really hoping that one day we get a Ys I and II re-release/remaster/remake. I just miss Feena and wanna see her again! And watch her play the harmonica. :) Nontheless, Ys is a really awesome series! \m/💕

Am played almost all trails game the games am played are trails from zero Trails to azure Trails of cold steel saga Trails into reverie this games am played multiple times am finished them am currently playing trails Through daybreak and at chapter 5 and having a blast with the game so thank you nisa localization of the trails games my favourite jrpg game franchise of all time

Not played Kuro, so 25 hours into Daybreak, I'm frankly blown away by the improvements made in almost every way: Animation, physics, battle system speed, and most of all the speed at which the story moves along, much faster into big plot points than in previous Trails games. Could very well be my new fave entry...So Daybreak 2 coming so soon is amazing!! Kai translation for Autumn/Fall 2025???
Thank you Falcom, and NISA! In terms of combat, dialogs, and voice acting, Daybreak series is the best Arc in the entire Trails series! So mature, engaging, and enjoyable to play. It's been 20 years of blast for me!
To evolve the combat further: I think the SCLM mechanic could be expanded upon. I would love to see a synergy based or a combined craft mechanic. If a character uses a craft while linked with a specific member, they use a different or upgraded craft. Or combined S Craft attacks if you are linked with a specific member while both are using an S Craft.
I love Legend of Heroes Trails through Daybreak and that's why i put in here... 5 things i wish they would improve in daybreak II onwards: 1. More minigames (atleast fishing, cardgame) 2. It's a jrpg so please develop the battle systems throughout the game alittle bit more 3. More Van VA in Mainstory (I know the JP Va is expensive, but maybe alittle bit more ENG VA?) 4. More flexibilty in Dayactivities (Give choices eather help civillians or conquer optional dungeons or something like that etc. ) 5. More difficulty settings for NG+ attempts (maybe more additional bosses to beat like cryptids?)
Mr. Kondo, please put a leash on your wokalizers at NISA, or even better, fire them and do the localizations with an internal team that respects the product your company creates.
Not gone happen body : first of kondo can't read English very well. Maybe try in Japanese, second kondo has said multiple times he is happy with the work nisa is doing so he won't replace them any time soon, third they are not nearly big anoth to translate there games inhouse and if they try you will get ai translation. I don't want that to happen at any point. I have seen what that leads to if you think nisa is bad what about Resume being translated wrong as Ressume and having that show up in the menu in every language (yes I have seen this in a actually released game still on sale right now)., Forth kondo knows all of this allready multiple people have atleast claimed to have send falcom letters mentioning there problems with the translation but yet nothing happened : either because falcom doesn't see the problem or doesn't care anoth., Fith no one year has just provided a list of actually god examples of translations that are so wrong that it finds the game. The only things I have seen are examples of a character name being changed which is strange but no big deal and complaints about a correct usage of pronounce.
While there always are some changes to scripts in localisation that I don't understand why they had to be done, none of them have ever really been too bad in the grand scheme of things. And this game is no different. I have yet to see anything in this game myself or mentioned by people that shout woke at anything they don't like these days that comes close to it. Unless you want to pretend that asking for pronouns in a situation where it is entirely reasonable to do so as " woke". You could maybe argue it adds a layer to the question that the JP script doesn't immediately imply, although I don't know how they handle that kind of question in Japan right now. Other than that there is nothing wrong with the English part of that script. I'm in the post ch4 intermission right now but somehow I doubt the rest of the games script is suddenly going to get "worse".
funny they say that the "other grendel" was inspired by Spiderman and Venom because I absolutely much more compare it to Sonic and Shadow in color scheme and being suspected for a FAKER.

Finished the game a few days ago. deffo a solid game, i was worried about the combat change but i was pleasantly surprised. Not my favorite game in the series but the first game in an arc never is. Really looking forward to the next entry and not long to wait. Thank you falcom and nis you all do amazing work <3
