I remember my GM scrambling in a fit of panic because my Drake was "too good" at holding a hallway. I threw down the deployable bunker, shields, and had my teammate use their printer to keep printing bunkers to throw out. (because they're deployable) Anytime the bunker took too much damage, we'd fall back two hexes, and throw another one down. It was hilarious watching my DM start spawning a BUNCH of shit only for it to get mowed down, or blown up by mines. At one point he had the enemy ADMIRAL connect to our commlink and offer us safe passage if we retreated from our position so they could recover the dead and wounded. My drake could take massive amounts of heat, and thanks to Genghis upgrades VENT IT ALL to continue firing my massive anti-ship rotary canon. We ended up agreeing that the story couldn't progress if we held the hallway any longer. We weren't gaining ground, and the bodies of the mechs/frames was starting to provide cover for the enemy. We decided to pop smoke, and skedaddle. Funny thing is, my pilot got so renowned that anytime he took to the field at least 3-4 squads of infantry on the enemy team would flee. My Drake "Snail" had such a high K/D ratio that anytime we start a new campaign I'm asked to not play Drake because apparently I'm too good of a turtle.
Life is simple as a Drake pilot. Pick a spot where the fighting is stupidly intense. Plop down your deployable shield. Then you just point and shoot until everything else dies.
@@svenabel2987 The Official expansion 'Dusrgrave' adds a GMS Core Bonus that allows you to add a super heavy mount to anything with 2 or less mounts. It is very funny
@@svenabel2987 Oh derp, you are completely correct. The game im in has so much homebrew my brain is melting. Homebrew of which includes removing mounts for bonuses I think someone was able to swing that to use a super heavy Toku at somepoint. Which is insane but very funny.
A unit with both an Enkidu and Caliban piloted by over the top lunatics... I'm sure everything will be just fine and go according to a surgically precise plan.
Technophile 3, Black Thumb 3. Is always a nice combo to see, also House Guard My Beloved. If I may, the simple suggestion I have would be to shift Skirmisher 1 into House Guard 3, House Guard 3 team assist and shut down is pretty darn good. The more drastic suggestion I have to be become a full defensive gunboat would be to shift Auto-Stabilizing Hardpoints into the Lesson of Shaping and adding into the Asura-Class NHP. This would allow you in a turn have a full barrage and still be able to use SISYPHUS-Class NHP. Regardless build is extremely solid and does the Drake proud.
@@TheKaiserKraken I hadn't thought of that. Also, did you know that Black Thumb 3 and House Guard 1 actually combo with each other? With both of those, you can use your Black Thumb abilities on allies who are an extra space away.
@@johndow2289 As I said House Guard my beloved. It combos with so many things, Makes Spotter a lot better as well. House Guard may be my favorite talent.
I can only imagine the amount of bullshiterry and memes that spawned from this campaign. I'm even more curious abt the context for the V-sign posing then vanish white girl here 0:30.
Haha good eye. That was the resident child soldier being told the company had hired a therapist for all the Lancers, they proceeded to avoid the session at all costs.
@@TheKaiserKraken Nice, I kinda wanna know more art that char since they look good. So may I ask if the character an OC drawn by the one of the players or its based on an image?
@@turtlehead8386 I have asked the player in question. The art was found online randomly. I have reversed Imaged Searched the base image used for the meme, seems to be an Artist by the name of Mog Mog on Artstation.
@@TheKaiserKraken thanks! Didn’t expect you to go through all that effort to answer my unimportant question. Thanks man, looking forward to your 2024 Lancer video. Happy Nee Year!
How does this work? I've been stuck on the idea of a campaign with that many people but I've got no idea how that would go, do y'all play in a group-by-group kinda fashion or everyone in one mission at once??
You go it, We play missions for each Lance separately. While everyone on the same board would be hilarious, just getting through a single round of combat would probably take a few hours with that about more players and NPCs on the field.
You would have to ask my DM. These are all just tokens he created for his game. I was actually unaware of White Glint before AC6 but now I'm scared to face what ever he made that has its token.
