Hey, im putting back together a box of parts. Its a 87 b2000 with a weber carb. On the back of the alternator (stock no retrofit) there is the two prong plug and a single plug. From the weber, there is a single wire running from the choke, that also has the same connector. Is it the plug from the choke? Or the plug next to the two prong?
oh I forgot to mention I did that whole race without brakes because I didn't have brake pads in the front and my exhaust heat shield fell off and got jammed in the rear brake pedal
Don't be scared. Just don't be on it a lot. Once you try it and u know u have one you'll feel way better and safer. All it does is doesn't let the rpm's go past a certain point. Its there to keep u from blowing ur bike up.
The rev limiter comes with stock yamaha bikes. The rev limiter is inside the cdi which is located behind the front number plate. I have a aftermarket Panic Revv cdi and rev limiter. What do u ride
If you want to try to fix that bog just give the pilot screw(very bottom of the carb) about half a turn or one turn in. That will make it run a little more lean. If it doesn't help or makes it worse turn it out to richen it. The pilot controls the air to fuel mix up to 3,000 rpm. Too much fuel and it will bog out like that same for too little but I'd start by turning it in. That's what my WR250f was doing until I tuned the pilot in a bit.
