Absolute worthless information, didn't help at all and the wiper blades came with no instructions except a link to book in to get them installed for 6 pound each. I'll never shop at halfords again
Don’t waste you time with this ‘Check’. I booked my appointment and went to the Charlton Auto Centre today because my car was flashing ‘brake system fault’ and had the car skid mark, and the brake fault system showing on this display. The manager came out, DID a 10 seconds VISUAL inspection with a torch light on each tyre and said there’s nothing wrong with my brakes. Then he said I should book a diagnostic check instead and then said he’ll cancel my appointment. If that was the check then why cancel my appointment??? Better off going to a proper garage where they don’t waste you time. They’ll be to inspect your brake system , give you an estimate and fix your car. Time wasters!!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your store Halfords - Chadwell Heath. I had booked an appointment to have a spoke on my bike repaired on 29/06/2024. On the day of the appointment, I walked 2.5 miles with my bike, only to be informed by the technician that the spoke was not in stock and needed to be ordered. Consequently, I was required to schedule another appointment. An appointment was booked for 10th July 2024, and an order for the spoke was placed by the Halfords - Chadwell Heath technician. I paid for both the spoke and the service. As agreed, I travelled another 2.5 miles to drop off the front wheel of my bike in the morning for the spoke replacement. I returned in the evening at 6:30 pm to collect the wheel, but was informed that it was not ready and that I would need to come back the next day. Unfortunately, I was unwell the following day and could not travel. Despite my illness, I went to Halfords - Chadwell Heath on Friday, 12th July 2024, to collect my bike’s wheel. Due to my condition, I was unable to inspect the quality of the work in the store. Additionally, the wheel was wrapped in a black plastic bag, making it difficult to see. Upon reaching home, I discovered that a black spoke had been fitted, whereas the rest of the spokes are silver, resulting in an odd and unprofessional appearance. Furthermore, I noticed that the cap of the tube valve was missing. Moreover, the rim was not true after fitting the new spoke and the rim is wobble from side to side. I have contacted customer support to raise a complaint and am currently awaiting a resolution over last 9 day. I have to chase the complaint department 3 more times over these 9 days for the regulation.

I went to Halfords to purchase roof bars. I was told I had to buy Thule because the Halfords version would not fit. The Thule feet are almost 200 quid! Walked out. Will go online instead

Hi, I didnt need an adapter. I also thought, from other posts and videos that I would need one. Really, if your original blade arm is the same as mine then the new one fits one very easily. (My transporter...T5, 2013. Make sure you get the right blade, if only fitting one, as the 2 on the windscreen are different lengths. I have only changed one so far. Good luck.
Halfords needs to do a video on replacing inner tubes on their Boardman bikes. We had a nightmare doing it, even a GCN expert struggled to do it on one of their videos. Leads me to another question, why are Boardman bike tyres glued/sealed to the rim and still use inner tubes?
Ive had this bike for 2 years and have had nothing but problems from start to finish. It has cost me well over 2 grand in total with everything i have had to replace and the time cost with Halfords having it to fix it at one point having it for 3 weeks. It's cost me £100 a month to own for 2 years and is still costing me money. I got the bike back from Halfords last week and only yesterday its packed in again so ive had to book it in again tomorrow for them to have it for god knows how long. For anyone thinking of purchasing, stay away from this bike at all costs.

@@halfords we have been here many times before. Your company should pull the bike from the shelves as it is not fit for purpose. The crank sensor being only one of many things that very easily breaks and once out of warranty costs £47 to fix as it did me 2 weeks ago. I have been through 3 brake cables and had at the very least 5 error codes where i the bike has left me stranded away from home and me having to take the bike to Halfords to be fixed.
Oh and it would of been 2 years in May ive had the bike, the bike cost 1299 brand new and like i say i have spent at least a couple of hundred with the brakes and crabk sensor and the time it has taken you to repair, me to get there and the times i have then had to arrange alternative transport to get to work, which is why i bought the bike in the first place. Biggest waste of money ive ever spend and i had a relationship with a stripper for a year.

Just a heads-up!! Stay away from Carrera Vendetta. Halfords can't get a replacement crank set, and alternatives don't work either. once the crankset wears out. The bike is useless; its days are finished. Don't waste your money on Halfords Carrera; they are good for nothing.
