Dr. McDonald did some dental work on me in 1964. Melinda McDonald was my classmate. She was one of the sweetest girls in town. Everyone loved her and I hope she is doing good today. Just a lovely lady.

Amazing footage! The bird must eat, but wow it looks like a pretty and huge fish (expensive? Hopefully you didn’t name that one either 😅!) So was the hungry Heron really able to swallow that huge Koi okay?? It actually looks like the fish stands a chance of survival too, it appears to wriggle real hard in her beak.
Yes, the birds can swallow large fish. You can hardly see it, but when the heron came back for the second fish you can see it gulp it at the very last second. Sometimes they will put the fish on the stone and stab it. The video was taken with a ring doorbell which is about a hundred feet from my wifi router. It alerts me most of the time when there is activity. The video isn't all that crisp because sometimes the wifi has a hard time reaching that far.
Oh wow, I just noticed this video w/ your comment, fascinating! Cool how your doorbell caught some random nature action. I actually had thought the fish escaped her beak somehow 😢😅… it did look like the large fish was gulped still flapping it’s tail too Still, I wonder, would a fish that size stand a chance to turn around inside the elastic throat/stomach to escape? Maybe it has a chance of survival if eaten in such a condition.
Hey, Ben, I hope you and Sarah and the kids are doing great. I think it's been about ten years since I saw you last and worked out with you. Those were great fun. I've had a stump grinding business since I retired seventeen years ago. It's the first job I've ever had that I love. I'm 75 now, so I might continue for ten more years or give it up tomorrow. Ha!
