I only listened to the start, but sounded like it to me. I've not really been into drum and bass in a long time, but my understanding is that neuro funk just sounds like old, ed rush and optical, right? Seen those guys on the first 2 album tours. Took so many mushrooms on the creeps tour, that I couldn't even dance. Nearly broke my ankle.
@@D00M3R_MAVSold ed rush and optical tracks are oldschool neuro, but this set is not that either. Neuro is known for its rich, reesy, clipping and agressive sound. Meanwhile this is certainly deep (almost minimalistic) dnb:)
@@ill-Fateddnb I only listened to the very start of this "skipping through it" and those bass sounds certainly sounded like something I'd associate with Neuro. So would you say it maybe had similarities, but wasn't actually "neuro"? Like I said though, been a long time since I did any DnB. I think my last set was in around 2008-10.
Thanks for the feedback! The boundaries between genres in drum and bass have been so thin lately, hard to tell which is what. We agree deep dnb is a better description, so we changed it!
Not really, but I've had this mixer for 15 years and I don't really have a budget to get another one. Would definitely save some space on the desk though!
well, @@dreadlabsmusic, if it works, it works! also, 15 years? nice! it's always great to see stuff that still works after the warranty expires. cheers, mate! keep on rocking!
If you don't need too many channels and a lot of fx sends etc, DJ mixers are pretty good for jamming. Everything is stereo, controls are big and sturdy, built in FX, good monitoring.
This just randomly showed on my YT feed, so glad I clicked!! Killer lab you have here Dreadlabs!! A very cool selection of gear and super chill piece.. I definitely dig! 🙌🐀
Thanks a lot, super cool that RU-vid recommended our content to you! More to come so stay tuned. If there's any specific genres you'd like to hear, let me know!
I only just got a PE Play last week, wasn't interested in the + as only want it as a MIDI sequencer. I've managed to do more with this sequencer than I have any other that I have owned, which is around 15. I was tinkering with my Nord 3P, which has no sequencer, I managed to pan randomly some hits I got a nice groove going with some generative movement. This was just a test so I could see what I was able to do with a machine with set and forget features. The trick is to get under the hood and start tinkering, the Play is awesome, especially what I paid new. I don't think people get the machine and how it can do so much for so little. So I should have all my gear set up hopefully by the end of the day, most of it is done, just cabling and all that back end nasty stuffs, but if I can get such great results from 1 bit of gear, I can only imagine what it's going to be like with 9 bits. Cool jam, keep em coming.
