Cheap laughs at Victoria's expense at the very beginning could potentially get intelligent people offside. However, trust me, fellow Victorians, he's bloody alright. It's not his fault that he was born in the land of the Ruby Princess - he tackles some weighty issues with a deft touch. I had tickets to see Steve in Glasgow recently but took ill just before the show and had to go home and missed it. I’m still gutted but did see him smoking outside the venue from across the street on the way to the car 😢

I think we underestimate the school teachings that lead to this place. I think a lot of teachers complained loudly to their students and consistently and now here we are. It was subtle and creeping but so blatantly terrifying now for those few who still understand.

I live in Africa now.. unemployed people can cook stuff at home and sell it on the street. You can't do that in the UK. Most poor people pay zero income tax.. all informal work. Farmers sell you stuff directly, that they farmed. The burocracy and taxes that come with modern society confines people so much. Indeed now in the UK it's often untrained people operating a computer data base that controls your life "computer says no" style.
