Hello! My name is Antonia "Ando" Andros and I'm a freelance illustrator and graphic designer based out of Arizona ( I also exhibit at multiple pop culture conventions in the Tucson and Phoenix area each year!)
I make videos about art and character design in my free time (which is admittedly not often enough.) They focus mostly on tips and advice I've learned while working professionally and things I wish I had learned earlier in my artistic journey, though I have been branching out into other topics here and there.
I hope you enjoy my content and learn something new! Thanks for checking out my channel!
I usually go simple with the character sheet. The name, one pose that reflects a character but not much, because all of my ocs are more-less normal people, but with a sick twist. For example, Alan is a shy, but honest and empathetic teen who suffers from ptsd and suicidal tendencies because of his parents death. Then goes the sentence saying how character describes himself, age, height, race, and his personality type from MBTI. Nothing much.
my flaws A pumpkin made of dust, most creative thing I can think of Colors as black & white since others too hard Characters always mentally insane I can not draw faces I can not draw hands I can not draw feet Haha a square with lot of personality go brrr
Shape language? Did that unconsciously. How- Subverting expectation is my 2nd name!! Well, no, but... Whatever. Strong silhouette? I mean, my ocs are extremely different or similar depending on what we're talking about... I think I'm just unconsciously do good My story is everything at once. Sheinen, depression, slice of life, ... Idk how but yes My characters personal stories are so developed i sometimes doubt that i made them Interaction: social life is either nice or depressive. Or both. Or they don't exist. Or they're literally in the void... I somehow knew character development enough? I'm weird I think that's all? I'm not gonna detail more
1. Being shot 2. A gun firing towards the character 3. Being stabbed with a knife or sufficiently sharp object 4. Another character who is stronger and can kill the first character 5. Bad writing
yall is this a good discription for eyeball “an earth born angel with a weird eye, possessed by multiple demons since birth, dealing with the many traumas life has thrown at him, he is very sensitive in their emotions but tries to hide it so nobody worries” i feel like all these details are important, and i think these are all the details that would be necessary to know
Me, a writer, watching this video and thinking it's about how to write characters: Also me, quickly being proven wrong but continuing to watch anyway to see if I can still glean information from it.
I have always struggled w/ body types, I am really good at drawing skinny and hourglass bodies but other bodies always looks wrong, so to fix that I try to make their clothing/features more interesting to help make them different
Extra tip: make them active characters and give them internal conflict, give them goals, fears and misbelief, the misbelief is the opposite of the stories theme, they need a goal to drive them, a fear to stop them, and a misbelief influencing everything about them, and in the plot, how would they chase there goal? How would they face there fears? What twist in the plot would force them to face there fear and misbelief then obtain there goal?
I can't concentrate on what you're saying because your Hand movements are sooooo distracting. The constant moving them to the right side, then the left side. To the right...to the left. without fail. its really distracting.
One of my OCs is Alastor, a Baldwin 165 ton 2-10-0 steam locomotive built for service during World War I. He’s characterized as being very friendly and polite up front, but with malicious motives. Alastor is one of several characters I created for a model railway series that I’m working on making. I already have the physical models, but they’re undergoing some repairs.
@@Sheesh7328 ah, no, I actually had to google what that means. 😅 It's about a supernatural government keeping the human and supernatural society at piece by collecting and distributing blood to the supernatural beings. Every blood type has a different taste, some are "allergic" to certain blood types and so on. There is a lot more, but uh, I'll keep that to myself :)
Man ive been so lonely i've made too many OCs based on different fandoms, wether fandoms that actually exist or fandoms i made in my head to entertain myself when im too bored. Wanna know how many? I dont wanna tell because welp i lost count.
Other things that can kill ur OC among ur other OCs: -them being too different from one another -bad design i think -making a specific oc too overpowered/no-importance-ish vibes -the color scheme making no sense -other stuff that i remembered but forgot after walking into my bedroom
So what your saying is?,dont make your oc live in the void?. Well what about space?,an infinite white space that hide the world?(keeping in mind for how the world is rn). What about a lonely oc that is always alone bc of society?,what about a violent oc that looks cute?(the circle shape). I mean like, gaster lives in the void,is he okay to be an oc?,theres too many q's but not much a's :(.
