Welcome to CountyLine Farming I will be taking you though the life of raising dairy heifers and row crops! You may even learn a thing or two about farming!
You had some really great camera shots. I enjoyed watching the rake. To this day, I can't see or hear about alfalfa without thinking of you when you were in sixth grade. ⌨ Keep these videos coming!
This must be a good year for triticale, the Sask Dutch Kid says his is six feet too. I wonder that grass that tall would maybe be course feed compared to shorter stuff. Nice to see you busy at it with nice weather. Good video. Pax.
I’ve got the same drill except an 09. I bought used in 2019. Very similar except no scale (which would be nice) Mine has a stirring rod just above the seed cups in the big box Mine has no dolly wheels in front middle either. They are a barecat to get it all greased. Got the markers. But don’t use them cause I installed full auto steer in my 7710 My 4rth season with it. Seed canola, oats, barley, alfalfa. Been a great unit. Can u do a video of hand lifting the gauges wheels. I’m curious of how much play they had from brand new.
6030= BEAST ..... Farming is a proud way of life .... grew up on a dairy farm in Upstate NY... but joined the military as a heavy equipment operator and now im retired.
What weight class did the 4020 pull at? I am guessing 12k or 12.5k pounds. The tires looked like 20.8x34s, but I might be wrong. My 4020 is a 66 with 18.4x34s cab and loader with a field weight of 14.5k pounds.
I liked watching it in action, I would have like to hear the old 531 diesel rumble. This is the first video of yours that I have seen, I hope to maybe see the 4620 in action. We used to have one, I enjoyed it a lot.
They pulled drills two ways,a diagonal hitch with the right one in front of the back one with only left turns, then three drills with the frame of the one behind the tractor reinforced with a extension on each side to pull another drill
Yup slow, 40-5010- 20’s over rated in western NE, not near the power they were suppose to have, not good with turbos, burn them up easily, before any gauges would tell you,
Saw this setup years ago but one disc had a 4ft longer hitch that made turning lots easier looking. They slightly lapped but you could turn sharper one direction than the other.
That’s tough when a spreader breaks down especially loaded. Back when I was a teenager I broke the chain of of a New Idea spreader and I had to pitch off all the manure… that made a long day. Great video
