@@Anna_Natter Ahh I see, because I'm using Substance Painter 2021, and I think your latest version shouldn't have any problems. Well, it's okay, just let us know the update. Thank you.
Thank you so much for making this video! I followed along with your tutorial and managed to create my own halftone brush, transferring it from Procreate to Photoshop and then to Substance Painter. I wanted to have my own Spider-Verse-style brushes for my 3D animated film project, and now I can paint my models, all thanks to you!❤
Great tutorial, Anna. One thing worth mentioning: you have to set color space of your non-RGB textures (like Normal, Roughness) to RAW, otherwise it may look wrong (especially Normal).
looks great! but lots of maps. how would the workflow change if you wanted to pack different objects' UVs into the same tile, in order to reduce number of maps used? i guess it would be a little more tricky to work in Substance Painter if you can't separate materials by shader
I chose this on purpose because I wanted the highest resolution I can get. But you can of course use the other method if that suits your project better.
wow this is so amazing im glad that i found this video 3d in after effects is still so new so finding good tutorials is hard do you have any idea if there is a way on making 3d limbs in after effects? kinda like rubberhose3 plugin
At 07:19 I forgot to mention that when you set the "Accept Shadows" to "Only" then it will just show the shadows and nothing else. So if you do it with a solid, that way you can blend any model with any video you just have to nail the perspective. The shadows will be on a separate layer and you can add effects individually to that as well.
I recorded a little video for you, it will go up tomorrow! 😉 Check my instagram for the renders! Not exactly a traditional lace material but it’s fun. ☺️
thank you so much Anna. When I click the Custom Normal Map, I don't get a field to add a custom texture. Not sure if this is a bug with their latest updated beta version. But curious if you have now the same issue, or if I've been missing something here.
