I don't know how it idles when it's warm, but you will destroy the motor by setting your idle this low. The oil pump can't circulate enough oil, and you'll burn up the cylinders, or seize them.
If I were you, I would be very careful how low you go with that idle. Are you sure you got any oil going to the top end when you’re idling like that lol. I would keep it about 900 sounds like you got about 500 lol.
I had a buddy that had one .He is 6.4" I was following him on my wide glide .He did look strange from rear view. They are a very low bike.I now have one and at 5.8" I can flat foot the ground on mine no prob.
Yes , and of course you should idle a evo ( have had 3 of them ) before riding off on a first start up.Not sure what the neighbours thought when I used to start mine at 6 am before heading 20 miles to work .lol
buying an improved 1998 Fat Boy next week, Evo's Rule! Had an 88 cu.in. RevTech chopper that never let me down. The one I am buying has a 89"Stroker in it. pics to follow
TURN the IDLE UP!! And Stop with the Flooding the Clylinders with RAW fuel Short REVS ..And Change the OIL now !!!. And Don't be Bewildered when RAW Fuel Drips on the Nose Cone and Blows back all over the EXHAUST ✌
Man I already suspected another "low idle" video as I was clicking on it. Yes they do sound cool at low idle, but most of us know better than to do that.
Really Dumb Ass? Give me a list of the Harley's you KNOW of idling slow that that had a short life? Really,,, give me a list expert. You sure as fuck don't know what your're talking about, only repeating what you have heard from other ignorant idiots. No doubt that bike seldom idles that slow and simply showing it can because it's an EVO with a carb. New computer, fuel injected ones have no soul and can't do it. These old bikes use oil volumn, not pressure at idle, that's why they last forever given decent care. Unhook oil return line and see the oil moving fool. Owners running low idle know to blip the throttle at the light to boost oil lube. No doubt you are too stupid to realize that at idle the top end needs very little lube to do what is required. By the way I have a 1999 Evo, Fat Boy with Andrews EV46 cam and Open V&H drag pipes that idles that slow plus a 2002 Road King Twin Cam w/ Screamin Eagle Cam Plate I put in that also idles slow with no problems. The Harley's also keep in time with my old 2 cyl. John Deere's idling slow with no problem. Maybe shut up and comment about Moms cooking while you hide in her basement. Do you even own something other than a moped?
