Spotlock is expensive. I keep drifting too much. How else can I do it without spending the money on Spotlock? I have an old aluminum boat that I can't put a bow mounted trolling motor on anyway. thanks.
Look into 'back trolling'. Just plug that into the search bar and watch a few videos on it. I was jigging while back trolling for 4 years before I got spot lock. If you want to join me on a jigging trip just give me a call or send me a text. randallrydes.com for my contact info
Turn up ur sonar and watch the interaction with ur lure. They usually behave pretty well if you grab the base of their tail with one hand like a baseball bat. Then put ur other hand under their belly. Also, it’s not uncommon for them to struggle to get back down when the surface temp is high. Having a descender ready helps get them back down.
Any ice fishing on here? I used to ice fish still water damn PA when I lived in jersey. About a 3 hour trip but every single time we’d catch a dozen pickerel and perch easy.
I’m a little worried they may hurt themselves thrashing against the pincher. Good video interesting and I like the explanation of hitting the spot lock at the time the fish appears on graft Thanks Man
I sold my boat, used to fish Raystown for striper lake trout and channel cats, I really miss my boat don't ask me why I sold it, lol, my wife now wants a boat with a cuddy cabin, so looking to getting a trophy pro or Sea hunt or similar, was just over at Sayers fishing off the bank did good on the crappie. The price for a Lake Erie walleye trip is that per person ? Or is that total for like 3 guys ?
Good luck on your boat search. Any safe vessel will give you a good day out on the water. The price is for up to 4 people. It's almost time for lake erie. I'm looking forward to it. Give me a call sometime.
You can keep 10 crappie, only 5 can be over 9 inches but the way the law reads 10 crappie only 5 of the 10 can be over 9, but you could keep 10 under 9.
We move along pretty slowly fishing as we go. It takes me all day. If you didn't do any fishing and just floated directly it would only take a couple hours.
Thank you yesterday for stopping to talk to me at the boat ramp. Your advice got us 2 lakers jigging, a bunch of panfish and 2 bass. All were released. It was a pleasure to get to meet you in person. Good luck fishing and thank you for the picture opportunity too.
I have a question. Are there any good places on docks to drop a light to fish for crappie over there at night??? And I’m in a wheelchair so has to be fairly easy to access. Any info would be appreciated. I haven’t gotten any crappie in yrs and would love to get a mess to eat. Catfish would be a bonus.
Thanks for asking man! Yes. There is a handicap accessible pier at the Aitch boat launch. If you fish it focus on the pond side. It's long enough to pick a spot that looks good so take your time. Use small minnows on a double hook rig like a high-low rig. And use the longest rod you have. Catfish would be on the lake side of the pier. Chicken livers work good for catfish.
Back from camp today and finally able to catch up. Had a blast with the family and being able to jump on a few fish with you was just amazing. Love learning new things when I jump on charters with others who have a bunch of knowledge. I’ll catch your next live stream.
Thanks for the weather report Randall. I finally got my boat back on the trailer and ready to fish was looking to go Monday or Tuesday, but it looks like Tuesday it is.
Man I love erie. The green roof inn is a pretty nice place to stay good rates and really focused for fishermen and if someone has a boat with cabin there are transient slips also its pretty cool sleeping on the water just an idea for people. Plus it's a blast fishing the creeks for steelhead this time of year
Got my boat pulled off the trailer so I can paint the trailer. Need some nice painting weather so I can get everything ready to go for that spring bite.
