Having house pet spiders is fun and helpful. Back in the woods we had hundreds of spiders living on our porch. I always felt bad when I had to clean it. Tried not to hurt any of them.

@@kylemiller6765 not really a biohazard though just dust and webs and dead flies this particular window gets the most sun in the house so it's sterilized everyday by Florida UV radiation
Everyone gangster until a horde of gigantic colossal huntsmen spiders come to town 😂😂😂 And there very very possibly could be such a spider type When I say colossal I MEAN COLOSSAL! Leg span of 70 cm for the average and the true colossal titans of the species Above 1 freaking metre in leg span with a one in a huge space reaching 1.3 metres leg span The worst thing? It's absolutely entirely possible for this thing to be real
I love this. I’ve also got a few webs in the house that i don’t touch. I always find tons of mosquitoes and flies in em. Seems worth it to keep those spidies alive.
I thought I saw a fiddle on its head but I mustn't...Im sure I've saw one before as I'm familiar with most of the species indigenous to Northeast Alabama...I run into all kinds while mushroom hunting...hell truthfully I run into all kinds just chillin on my porch! That’s a filthy window, dead plant spider and all. Somebody is afraid of cleaning and it ain’t the spider, lol. Just don’t bring lady’s over until you clean that room and set the spider free. 😂
Sounds like you’re doing all the right things. What follows below should be read as in “you” meaning “one”, not YOU personally. Classic funnel web spider if I ever saw it. These aren’t dangerous to humans, but many of the things they catch and eat ARE … like Brown Recluse, black widows, centipedes, scorpions, just to name a few, the exact same can be said about wolf spiders, but those are more active predators whereas funnel web spiders are more ambush predators. Bottom line is: you can tolerate these scary-looking but harmless little guard dogs and be rid of their often dangerous prey, or you can try to poison all of them, or you can continue in your delusion and kill anything you come across without regard to what it is, superstitiously clinging to the ancient myth of “the only good ____ is a dead ____”. … and suffer the consequences… which COULD be nothing, but COULD be dying alone, in the dark, in the throes of anaphylaxis because you were bitten or stung in your sleep by something you had an allergic sensitivity to, but didn’t know about. … Your choice of course, but this is why I don’t kill wolf spiders, (quite prolific around here), the most I will do is re-locate them outside.
I've always loved spiders ever since I was 4 years old All creatures in general to be honest it brings me joy watching them live their lives around me I've got huntsman's and southern house spiders and geckos and cobweb spiders that call my house home and I love every bit of it ❤
Spiders freak me out but I but if they are tiny I just move them to an out of the way spot or onto a plant. Big ones that escape my cats I'll release outside as a bonus to having survived them if I'm able. Otherwise I leave well enough alone but one that size would NOT be staying inside my house.
