The First Fish you caught is called a Paru in Aitutaki and it’s one of the Most Beautiful Fish To Ever Eat, Paru can grow up to 15 kilograms in Aitutaki and to catch them at that size you have to deep drop. That size is just as beautiful. Make Cook Island’s Raw Fish Recipe and for me personally I just soak it in sea water that I bottle while fishing and keep at home for eating and cook Taro or Casava we call it Pia or Bread fruit or Kuru is what we call it. When I go out fishing I fill up a 60 litre bucket and every time I clean my fish I put the fish in the bucket to get rid of the chemicals that is in the tap water. Chlorine Cook your fish like Lime or lemon juice and if you don’t believe me do it. In Australia we’re I’m leaving for now it’s like putting the fish into a swimming pool. So sorry for the long as message. From a Aitutaki Cook Islander
Just found this video and wanted to share something. When baitcasting in rocky areas make your lead line longer then your leader or hook line. You wont lose fish to getting stuck so much since the lead line will break since its longer then your hook line.
