I'm Ami and on top of being a mommy of 2 I'm also a makeup artist and the host of #OWNshow on Oprah.com. I'm a lover of all things beauty, fashion and lifestyle, especially pertaining to us mamas, working women and just busy females who still want to look and feel good while we do what we gotta do!
My main desire to start this channel is to provide tips, trick and advice on things that I wanted to know with and without children but in a concise manner. I love watching tutorials myself but want content condensed so I can actually sit and watch the entire video before I"m distracted by something (that something usually being one of my children!) I'm super excite to share all my tips and tricks on rocking pregnancy fashion (both during and post..it can be tough!), eating well to get back into post-baby shape, and staying glam and confident while being a Mommy!
As a licensed and certified Massage therapist of 10 years I just want to say from a Massage Therapists perspective and from what we were taught in school- is that's it's not safe to do massage in the first trimester because your body is going through so much already. A little neck or shoulder massage for like 5 minutes is one thing, but an hour long massage, especially deep tissue but even medium pressure swedish style, will push around lymphatic fluids, build up of lactic acid etc. And can tax the kidneys, liver, lymphatic system etc. While filtering all of that. Most massage therapists in most states that are regulated will not perform massage in first trimester for the safety of the baby since the first trimester is the most fragile and when many women unfortunately do have miscarriages, also to protect themselves from being sued if this might happen which is hard to pin point the cause, but generally I feel it's better safe than sorry. Again a very short relaxing/ lighter pressure 5 minute massage from your loved one is probably fine, just not a full hour massage if you want to play it as safe as possible.
The best thing I did for my dry hair is use the Monsia Kleen filtered shower head, I see a huge difference in my hair and skin after only a few showers.
Stunning video, your hair looks really nice with that scrunched up wavy look. Looks nice with some gel in it, it just makes the difference. Have you ever tried a mousse or would you recommend a gel rather die this
What I worry about, is the smell. I only self tan when I'm going on vacation. The smell is gross- and I feel self conscious about it. I don't even want to spray perfume on my skin because I feel it changes the fragrence. I also do not do my armpits at all. That's where it smells the worst! I wish I could find an instant tanner that didn't have the self tanner to apply over my normal SPF
I always thread. I find it super easy and not very time consuming, basically it means that if you want to remove hair from eyebrows or upper lip you can just take any thread and remove it. It’s so satisfying too. But kinda pinches too 😫😫❤️❤️❤️❤️
I Love this for you! That's going to be me next year turning the big 40. I'm so happy you have a bunch of people around you who love and adore you that's awesome. Cheers to your 40th! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The pulling is the same regardless of how you rip the hair from the follicle. It's the pulling the skin taught that does it, not the actual removal. For instance, the facial movements you made were stretching the skin......hence the tightening. Skin care, genetics, health, hydration, and technique play a role too. I'd be more worried about scar tissue and infection if you're cutting yourself than I would be about waxing wrinkles. I have no doubt an esthetician told you otherwise but that wasn't a comment based on science. I liked the video overall, it just seems like you'd want to provide accurate information. Otherwise I would have remained silent.
This worked SO WELL!!!!! I had like 6 blenders that were filthy and I cleaned them all up in 30 minutes! Wonderful technique, thank you so much darling!
With threading you also stretch your skin and even worse, the only diferente in between the wax and threading is that wax exfoliate your skin and threading don’t . 😊😊
