looks great! what makes this footage so much more clear than most super 8 footage i see on youtube? is it the specific film you used, or just a high end camera?
Beautiful! 🤩 We explored the area recently and it's truly amazing place. But unfortunately it's not allowed to fly with the drones there anymore... Big like 👍🏻 Subscribed ⭐️
Hey Sven! My name is Francis and I'm an independent filmmaker based in Berlin, Germany from Canada! I wanted to ask you if it's possible to use your footage in the background of a music video I am shooting with some friends. It would be projected on the wall within the set design of a music video. Let me know if you would be okay with this and of course, being included in the credits. Thanks!! Cheers
Looks good. I made a film of a trip to Scotland in the 70s using the old style of 8 mm. It was very expensive especially compared with digital video which is effectively free. It concentrates the mind if every time you press the button it's costing money. I don't understand why the sprocket hole is intruding into the picture. I thought the sprocket holes were outside the edge of image.
I'm also trying to understand why there are so many videos with that hole intruding into the picture, it doesn't make sense to me. When i was young i've never seen such thing on a 8mm film.
@@Newemka I think its just a weird thing that some people add to make it clear that we are watching an actual film or to give the illusion that we are watching a film. But it would be crazy to manufacture film with the emulsion going over into the line of the sprocket holes. No one ever made film like that. The emulsion is expensive and contains light sensitive compounds of silver
it’s bc it’s shot on super 8mm film which gives a wider picture by taking up the space where the sound would have been recorded and this is what you see before it’s cropped
@@Newemka IT Depends on scanning. you can add it if you scann it on a wider frame (some photography houses give you the option to chose others not. (he technically could have cropped it)
@@Schneeeulenwetter Yeah, i've asked around and got answers, you're right and this video is legit. Now I get mad when i see bad filters that mimic badly this kind of images in video editing or instagram (I've seen many video with the picture inside the hole... face palm)
At what time you visited this place ? we recently explored and when I wanted to fly the drone they said it is not allowed and you will have to pay fine for flying the drone.
@@LaquiooX Haha Yeah I made sure that I don't disturb but actually it is more likely that they are not allowing. I was curious if the morning and evening times are free and we could fly a drone there! Just a guess! But thanks for replying. DFS drohnen app still says that you can fly drones in that area it is just the local guards which are restricting. With that being said I absolutely loved your video and I just dropped a fan subscribe to it. 😊 Cheers
