Just a beautiful gorgeous tune and I had the original where the pyramid meets the eye cd.... and this song was the highlight. In these hardest and saddest of times for me, this brings back so many gorgeous memories and with it, tears.
My boyfriend put this on a mix tape, (it was a cd version of a mixtape) but it always makes me teary eyed. I do enjoy this band, and I will especially love this song forever. Thank you Bongwater.
I was introduced to bong water in the early 90s by my ex-husband while we were still dating. He comes over and tells me enthusiastically that he got the CD he's been trying to get for a long time and it turned out to bongwaters double bummer CD. When I heard the last two songs which turned out to be covers of you don't love me yet by Rocky Erickson and dolphin song by The Monkees. When I first heard you don't love me yet it was like a revelation it's been handed to me it was totally amazing and I've always loved this version the best not making a lot of Rocky Erickson but I don't know bong Waters version it's just like a revelation to me and I've always loved the song

I haven't heard this in decades. Bongwater was always on the menu in those days. Bongwater, DK, Manowar, Ramones, Misfits, GWAR, all sorts of Motown. We had a helluva playlist in high school.

Okay, here we go My dearest sweetest friend Beth V. is a nurse whom some years ago was working at a mental health facility in Austin, TX and it turns out that one of the patients was the author of this song: Roky Erickson - singer and songwriter of the legendary '60s band 13th Floor Elevators. Roky experienced mental problems of which much is documented, and due to his mother had him committed and Beth ended up being his nurse, she related that it sadden her seeing him there, his mother may have kept him longer than needed ( this was beth's suspicion) but he was released and he went on play and record music again. Roky died but he left a wonderful musical legacy that inspired many artists.
