100 pcs one face in 3 hours is not rentable, I make 100 pieces in 1h20~ taking my time with a 2-handle pneumatic heat press. At the time, in screen printing, it took around 2 hours to prepare 2 color screens, emulsion development, machine setting, and 1min~ per piece printed at the exit with a drying tunnel. DTF will remain the least expensive, the fastest and the quality can be said to be good over time.
Likely what will happen is those fiber are going to want to stand back up so it may be fine for a few washes but it's likely to start to deteriorate fairly quickly.
So I am using gimp so it's not exactly the same. What I am doing is when I delete the background color using the color picker I have the threshold on it set to 0. I think that means it doesn't create semi transparency but not for certain
Great video! And thank you for posting. I'm having an issue with my DTF prints that maybe you could help me clear it. The WHITE base ink doesn't seem to cover the BLACK ink if I used all CYMK values. But when if use only a K value of 100, the WHITE covers it completely, but the BLACK looks faded as an outcome.
Wow, that is interesting, the way you isolated the watermelon and did the halftone differently than for the background, that is great help to know how, because the heaviness of the motif requirres different settings! I love when you speak Spanish, thank you so much for the effort, everything put in this video and the collaboration! A big hug from Spain!
Effortless? Easy? Plug and play? What a joke! Our DTF Mimaki TxF300-75 printer hasn’t worked since day one. We’ve had numerous technicians come to repair it, and countless parts have been replaced. Despite all this, it’s still not functioning. Avoid this printer at all costs! If you’re thinking about buying this, feel free to reach out to me for more details. I will be more than happy to help you give up this idea.
Terrible printer. I bought the Tx300-75 from DTF Superstore; the printer didn't work from the beginning. There was an alignment issue and blurry images. Boards were replaced, tons of ink and film were wasted, and technicians visited us every other week to try to solve the problem. There's no problem-free DTF printer, and at least the Chinese printers don't cost the fortune I paid for the Mimaki. Buy three Chinese printers instead; it's a better deal.
@@DTFSuperstore So that won't affect the "Difference" blend mode in photoshop when I apply it to a gray background and unite it with the image? So it's not like white where I can invert it after I convert it to grayscale?
This only works for black shirts you want to knock out the black, right? For white or other light color shirts how far do you tweak the levels in Photoshop and do you go back to your mask and fill in with white, the parts you don't want knocked out and just leave the edges?
for white shirts follow all of the steps but add an invert (cmd i or ctrl i) after grayscale before levels adjustment. for colored shirts watch this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7rm6iT0Hcmk.html
@@DTFSuperstore Doesn't the "difference" color blend mode to a white background then ctrl+E to both that white background and image to unite, then grayscale it provide the same effect?
@@DTFSuperstore Thanks. Do you have any videos that cover that? Also for gray(light and/or dark) backgrounds or shirts, what's the best optimal practice?
Hi, I’m planning to purchase a photoshop for my DTF printer and I would like to make halftone effect, I don’t know which version of Ps i will purchase, can you please let me know. Thank you and have a good day
We currently have a roll of our V2 Hot Peel Film on the BY20, we've been getting great prints with hot peel so far! Also the mount is just an adjustable keyboard/monitor mount from Amazon. (Just search monitor and keyboard mount)
Great piece of information, youtube actually recommending good stuff is super rare, thank you for providing alternatives and explaining the procedure in detail!
This is awesome! This past week I’ve been having an issue with a graphic and it seems that this threshold trick will fix the issue. Gonna test it out this week. But what’s been weird is that I didn’t have this problem with another print company, but have been recently having this issue with a different company. Either way, this looks like it should fix it. Thanx!
Preciate this vid ! gonna try this tonight. And big thx on putting up the instructions makes things easier to follow ! Looking fwd to the video on bootleg / vintage rap tee's !
For our friends who are following along with Photoshop, here's some tips: To paste your image into the mask, you'll have to enter it by Alt/Option clicking before pasting. You'll also need to make sure of a few things To make the shadows selection, you'll need a copy of the monochrome mask on it's on layer to select. (if you use Select > Color Range with a layer mask selected, it will modify the mask instead of making a selection)
I am so sorry to hear you are having problems with your BY-20! What type of issues are you facing. We are currently working on a basics/tutorial series for this printer and we'd love to help answer specific questions and concerns!
Wish I could figure out what you are trying to do. Your before and after look appear to be the same. If you mean "replace" when you say "knockout"? You're replacing black with black? It makes no sense.
we are taking the black out of the image and then placing on a black shirt. So the Black shirt is techincally replacing the black from the image. The goal is a softer feeling DTF Transfer and that is accomplished by removing some of the ink. It should look the same but feels a ton better!
