Loved the video of the 65 GTO ! your page showed up on my phone & i really liked the picture.! I have been drawing cars my whole life & used mostly pencil & colored pencils. I draw mostly hot rods & drag cars, with some antiques too. I'm going on 70 & have always been interested in cars. Thanks for the inspiration to keep on going with the hobby. I'm now a subscriber!
If you would like to share your artwork, I will be happy to feature them on my "Artist Spotlight". If you are interested in doing this, just email pictures of your artwork to garypaintsit@outlook.com. Thanks
Back in the late sixties, Dave Wonderly had a 65 GTO like this one. 389, 4speed, a real sweet car. He let me borrow it one time for a special date. The date didn't turn out so well but oh man what a car. Great job Gary as always.
Gary, I recently viewed a video on Scott’s Speed Shop on the painting you did for Jed. I was reaching out to see if you’d be interested In doing a painting of my 1969 Dodge Charger, my family and I call Tetanus. If this is something that interests you please let me know and we could be in touch. Thank you.
Jed is a super guy and I am proud to call him a friend. I always emphasize my admiration for his relationship with big Mike, that is priceless!! My Parents are both gone, and I wish I had done a lot more with mine, even though we were together a bunch and I was blessed with them both until I was 50yrs old.
Heck yeah! Loved seeing my good friend Rob's car come to in life in another one of your excellent paintings, I believe your channel is continue to grow, just as long as we can get your work shown to the world.
@aliman6446 looking forward to meeting you and seeing more of your beautiful work. We all want to help your channel grow so you could bring one your awesome cars to NoNameNationals
@@ScottsSpeedShop Gee Jed, I've never done anything like that before. I would definitely be out of my league. It would be awesome to meet all you cool dragsters though. Maybe we could come as spectators.
Gary I am absolutely blown away by this. Thank you so very much! I cant wait to hang this in my home and share it with my friends and family. You are truly a master of your craft and I am honored that you painted my car. I have a few more I'd like to discuss having done now!
So enjoying to watch you watch you do your thing God is so good I wish could get my Dad's car done I recently lost him he made me his little motor head now a old man , Always love watching true artists
Oh man! Where do I even begin to start to write this comment, you always find a way to leave me utterly speechless. Of course I have always been envious of people with talent such as your own. This was definitely the best way for me to start my day, getting to watch one of my most beloved cars and the first car I built on my RU-vid show come to life in your painting. The backdrop turned out beautifully and you gave me a reason to someday get the Dart photographed at Gene's shop. Taking the ride in the Challenger was also a blast, that manual trans really sets that Challenger apart from the rest of the crowd. I am looking to seeing what you create next my friend!
Gary, you really blew me away on this one, and you haven't even started painting yet! I'd like to first say, thank you for making such a fun and entertaining video here, especially when you had me riding along in that 4 speed Roadrunner. You had me remincining about driving Jezebel, and what a blast that was, oh and I'd like to say you have a very beautiful place from what you've shown. Now I'm eagerly awaiting to see the Yard Dart painted, because it's actually the first car we actually built on the channel, believe it or not. So in a way, it's very poetic that the Dart was my first car series, and it's also gonna be the first you paint. Thank you again man, you had me grinning the entire time.
A blast from the past. My maternal grandfather owned a 1961 Ranchero pickup which at the time was based on the old Falcon. Lots of fishing trips in that old Ranchero. This is one of my favorites that you've done so far. I'm building a 67 Mustang fastback for our Model Club show in November. If it turns out nice, maybe you could try painting it...interesting project...start with a scale model and paint it up to look like the "real thing".
Gary, I am beyond impressed with your work, I loved watching the 3 step process and getting to watch the blank canvas get transformed into a beautiful piece of art. Please continue to share your work with the world, these 3 first videos have inspired me
I am really impressed with everything you are doing, this is an avenue I always wanted to explore, but drawing and painting with a brush is definitely not my strongest skill, but watching you is making me want to someday try my hand out it. I hear you mention being from mid-missouri, if you ever find yourself near Kansas City, let me know, we are about an hour south of it. I also love your coupe, that is right in line with the kind of hot rod I want to build someday, definitely cannot blame you going out for a drive, and thanks for bringing us along.
Howdy Gary, id like to thank you for reaching out to me, otherwise I would have never gotten to see your work. I'd love to work with you in the future for sure
Hello Gary! I dabbled with painting in high school but now I build model cars for my channel. I’m still kind of an artist in my own way. I was wondering if you would let me shout out your channel in my community tab to my audience. I don’t know how many people would subscribe to your channel but we can see.
Hi Austin, That would be great as I'm just getting started and need all the help I can get. Thank you so much. I've put together some models of the cars that I've owned and have a great appreciation to what you do. I will check out your channel as well. Thanks again!
Great first video Gary. I'm looking forward to watching how you do what you do. You may inspire me to start the channel my wife has been after me to start for 2 years.
Hi Kent, Thanks for your support. I need all I can get! This is all new for me and I am definately out of my element, but I'm sure you would be great at it.
Great start Gary! Think I'm going to really enjoy your channel. I wondered, if I or anyone else interested were to provide a picture of a car near and dear to them, you could do a portrait of it as well. If you did say, what would be the approximate cost. Always enjoy seeing your work. You ROCK buddy!!
Hi Greg, Thanks so much for your support. I would be more than happy to paint a picture for you or anyone that would like to have a painting of their car. Pricing would depend on the size and complexity of the painting, but typically a 16" x 20" on canvas (the size you see behind me on the video) with a $40 frame would run $200. Shipping would be an additional charge, but would be whatever the post office charges. Once a photo is provided, I would do a mock up with whatever different background is desired. Once that is decided, I would ask for 1/2 up front with the balance due upon completion. Sorry for the lengthy reply. Thanks again for your interest and support.
