Barorisi Ba Morena its a church choir which was established in 1965. Each and every member needs to be a church member of St Jacobs Saviours Church, before they can sing for the choir. They are definitely the deal choir for every one. They still have a unique sound and tempo and still producing very likeable and good music. If it wasn't of the late Ntate Bishop Jacob Tlou (may his soul rest in peace), most probably the "clap and tap" would still be confined to the congregations tsa Bapostola. The man had through live performances and great recordings that even attracted foreign accappela enthusiasts, destigmatised the music and globalised it from "Dipheko" to "Ntjhafatso". A many choirs in the townships and villages blossomed from the inspiration of Barorisi Ba Morena. Barorisi Ba Morena have 34 CD's, and they can be found in any CD shop.
Still watching this powerful segment of the Easter session to date. There's a saying that "No matter how many times you listen nor watch Barorisi, there's always a different feeling ignited". ❤❤ For the record, next Sunday I'm present at the 60th birthday celebration of the Great Dr Tlou. All the way from Taung. 🙏🏾
