So what is really happening in GH? I spent my own money to add an extension with 19 poles, after giving the area electricity, the authorities in Sampa in the brong region refused to give me light because I did not give them the contract to do the extension . Now they are asking me to pay 12 million old GH. Per each pole. Meaning 12 million x 19. Almost GH 200 million. Before they can give me light/power . After spending more then 250 million to buy my own poles, wires, labour including streetlights for the community. How can VRA discourage people like us who are willing to help develop the nation.??? As I'm typing , the place is still total darkness and I'm planning to remove everything to build solar energy for the hotel I built. Im Very disappointed.
This is what is call legacy projects. BUT THE GOVERNMENT MUST PROMOTE AND TRUMPET BOTH THE NORMAL OR SMALL PROJECTS WITH WITH THE BIG LEGACY PROJESTS for people to see like the NDC is doing with Mahama small projects. God bless our home land Ghana.. We're sleeping in dumsur for 5 years but today the story has changed.
Dear VRA. My name is Kofi Ntow Opare. I am Ghanaian and currently lives in Norway. I just completed my MSc in Hydropower Development and will be very glad to be on this project from the scratch since I believe it will give me a great insight on my chosen field and also gives me an opportunity to help my country with the knowledge gained here in Norway. I want to know who to contact in VRA.
