This looks like a great format. I discovered it today on Reddit. Any recommendations of decks that work well? Of course besides your suggestions on RU-vid.
There's a buuunch on reddit. My favorite five (I've found via playtesting) are Fae of Invention, Snowball, Dimir Control, GCR, and Spin the Wheel. @@beansbudgetbrewery6071 Thank you for the names. I will check out some lists. Regarding your question, I saw one of your posts on the pauper reddit. It was a super cheap madness list (currently my only deck for tabletop) and I checked out your profil for more pauper decks. And this is how I saw the FiveDollarDeck topic
@@ReDario Yeah. The UB control varies between faster Monarch Delver (with Gurmag of course) style control and Mystical Teaching's style. So far Reanimator has Vesperlark x Trostani's Summoner Reaimator (fast reanimator) and Kardur's Rebirth / Unburial Rites Reanimator.I think I'll make a video on them soon
I should probably emphasize this: the biggest factor is that Ixalan was 5 years ago and Prying Blade has seen play but no reprint, while Loxodon Warhammer has been reprinted twice very recently. It's still a rare vs a common, but what matters for price is "how many of X are in circulation" and my guess is that the majority of Prying Blades are sitting around in normal people's bulk card's, and they haven't gotten around to trading them in at their LGS because they didn't realize Prying Blade's are in short supplie.
Nice idea for a deck, but if you're using the old rules of MTG you have to consider all Chancellor of the Dross deck, that wins in a way less convoluted manner and is "modern" legal
I’m really looking forward to more of these. My girlfriend lost interest somewhere this year because the cards got too much text or got complicated. So we’re excited to go back to a “simpler” way to play Magic.
I've been following your posts on Reddit, and I love this idea. I'm just starting to get into MTG, and this is giving lots of deck options to play around with for cheap to figure out what I'm going to like. Keep up the great work!
