Thanks. Throwing the paddles was to make it more difficult and the likelihood of carnage more likely. Pretty much it was just a race with no real rules and you had to attempt to throw your paddle through the hoop and then on the bank before the last rapid and race is finished when you and a boat get to the shore.
Haha, those surfaces are 185's but mounted around center. Later in the season I picked up some 193 Helldorado's, the black skis you see. Then in AK and whenever I toured I used my 191 wrens, best all condition ski imo. Should have maybe included a snowblade clip in this, but didn't even think of it.
