Nice video!! I have the same Breville Sous Chef 16 Pro. Please use the black little spatula for it to scrape the sides so you don’t scratch the plastic bowl. It works great too and gets it all😂
I don’t know what you expected. Those are juicy tomatoes and also look like the wrong kind. Plumb/roma tomatoes are used for salsa as they have more meat and less juice. You would have the same soupy mess above if you cut these by hand. I would now drain to use. Like the first comment said, core them first, roll and stand in the chute and pack tight.
You need to whip the tahini and the garlic, and LEMON JUICE for 2 minutes FIRST, then add beans, then add seasoning & oil for 1 minute, then aquafaba a little at a time for consistency. Trust me.
Paradice? Huh? If you’re talking about the slice and dice that she has, they aren’t $700 (unless you are including the cost of buying the 2 extra sizes of dicing blades - it automatically comes with a 12mm blade). You can save a TON of money getting it during the annual thanksgiving black friday sale online. That’s when I got mine. That’s coming up soon here, so mark your calendar! 😀
@one-eyepadidally8449 There is a Paradice 9 for $399.95, and a Paradice 16 that is $699.95. The 16 is larger than the 9 and has more blades. While I'd be OK with the size of the 9, I would really want the blades that only come with the 16.
@@mkayradcliff Yeah, I was recommended a video about the Paradice shortly after I wrote that comment, ironically enough! Haha. I’ve never heard of it before… My question is what is the big difference between the 16 cup Paradice and the 16 cup peel and dice version that’s shown in this video? Because it sounds like they have similar price points, right?
A nice blender with the appropriate blade would make easy work of it. Food processors can’t do everything. Just like we can’t make a good smoothie in the food processor. Blenders are still needed in the kitchen for a variety of things, even though we own this nice food processor. ;)
Hello, I'm from Brazil and I would like to know how your breville is today, I'm thinking about buying one, but I see some people complaining about the jar cracking easily, on Amazon USA there are a lot of people complaining, very tranks ❤
Might be interesting to just take the firm bottom off & process the garlic with the skins on, especially in a dish like hummus. Or I would process with skins, fresh lemon juice & olive oil till smooth paste (I’ve been doing this. for years - not with skins, tho going to try). I also process fresh ginger with peel on - again with olive oil & fresh lemon juice. I always have. jars of ginger & garlic like this in fridge to use in everything,
Hey, thanks for the comment on the other video. Most of these I made a long time ago, first starting out on RU-vid. I don't have a ton of money or expertise on video/audio stuff. Not exactly sure how I'd hook up a Mic when using my phone though. I recently got a tripod to help with the shakiness but that too is difficult bc I want to look inside the bowl, which can't easily be done with a fixed angle... Your advice is certainly welcome
If you had used a decent microphone or even cared about viewers hearing clearly...I'd have used your link to buy the two Breville Sous Chef 16 Peel and Dice we just bought for our family and son's family. In future...it would be most helpful for us to be able to hear you without straining and not having success when doing that. It is very helpful to see and hear and understand what you are doing. We were excited when your video popped up....hopefullly you'll take this as helpful in that we want to embrace your work and demonstrations...knowledge and experience...truly we do. Thank you.
Hi there. I have the sous chef 16 cup. Is there any other accessories you need for the peel function other than that the disc you used? I checked their website and it's like 400 bucks to do a full upgrade to the peel and dice with 3 dicing sizes and the peeler disc. It does come with a bowl as well, which i imagine is not necessary..
Hi! This is the first time someone has asked this question. The peel blade does not have its own spindle like the dice does. It attaches to the regular spindle that you'd use the slicing blades with, so it should be a stand alone attachment. I do have to warn you though, the bowl I have that came with the P/D is about 1/16th in bigger than the "standard". I ordered a replacement bowl and lid and the lid does not fit onto the P/D bowl. That being said, I still think the peel blade will work with the regular 16 cup (unless the pro and regular are very different). Here is my link for the blade alone. Looks like they are out of stock right now, but it'll be available soon, best reguards- ST breville.oie8.net/NkDK1v
@@savorythyme Thank you so much. Ok that makes sense because the PRO has two bowls available and one must be for the peel and dice function. So if I do the add on I'll probably just get the new bowl as well. Thank you!
@@candorsspot2775 Glad I could help! If you're buying from Breville here's my personal links (I get only 8% but hey it's something) Pro Parts: breville.oie8.net/DKgKLd Reg Parts: breville.oie8.net/ZQ1QXX
I was asking myself the same question. Thank you soooo much! Btw do you know if it can dice carrots with the dice blade or only soft vegetable? How about beets?
I’ll have to try Sumac in mine! I watched a hummus making video from “Amy learns to cook” and she used canned chickpeas and said the key is to let them process for 5 full minutes, and I also used the bean water from the can, barely reserving any of it and using most it to thin the mixture out. It turned out so smooth and fluffy!
@@savorythyme Smooth hummus is glorious, but I’d never use a food processor for guacamole, because I love mine chunky, just mildly smashed with a fork. Love that texture. I never understood those that like theirs super smooth/mushy, like baby food haha. But to each their own! ;)
