Hey guys my heart is fill with joy, finally,i have pass my ASVAB EXAMS with an AFQT of 83 in my 3rd attempt, just after using the preparation tips and tricks of Mr David, I was referred to him by a friend before my exams.dear friends I recommend you to Mr David he has the key to your exam
Imagine taking the exams for your first time and having a score of 26 😔 embarrassing, if not of your recommendations seriously I would have not pass, really thank you so much 🤝 I really wish some people would have this same chance as I do ,Mr David is a special tutor with a special heart.
I took the AFOQT test about 27 years ago when I was in ROTC Air Force. It was harder than the GRE test. I didn't study for it but I scored high enough to qualify for the job that I wanted.
I take the AFOQT tomorrow, excited, hoping to enter the 20OT04 board since they changed the schedule cant enter the 03 board anymore as its only non rated and I want a rated slow, plus im active duty enlisted.. .hope to see you on the other side!
Hopefully you see this.... how was it taking the math part with no calculator? I find doing multiplication and long division from the practice tests with large numbers to be very time consuming. Any tips?
Great guidance. I just attempted and failed the exam. I’m happy to have been exposed to it. I now know what I need to hone in on. This second round I intend on crushing it.
prizzle125 it affected my studying because I had to study EVERYTHING. If I had no intention of applying for rated I wouldn’t have bothered to look over that material. But since I knew I wanted to apply for both I needed to study for more info and for longer time each day.
I have so many questions. I will be taking my test in July and then starting ROTC as a sophomore instead of a freshman. I am curious that if we are not trying to be a pilot or anything particular then do we have parts of the test that they won't be counting or do I need to pass those as well?
Morgan Hall if you’re not attempting to become a pilot or get a rated slot, then you won’t be needing to worry about the TBAS. However, there are minimum scores which need to be made still in the AFOQT regardless of you AFSC preferences. Those minimums can easily be found online or your local recruiter can tell you. Good luck!
Great overview and tips! I just took my first AFOQT. One other part of advice, PRACTICE WITH A BUBBLE SHEET. I didn’t do that and that really slowed me down on test day. I had to guess my last few answers for table reading and block counting.
Connor Cooney I agree! I basically kept my pencil in contact with the bubble sheet at all times with my right hand and handled the booklet with my left. Not being prepared to be quick with bubbling could cost anyone a chunk of points.
Since English is not my native language, I had been preparing for 6 months to take AFOQT. In order to improve my vocabulary I took the new words from SAT, ASVAB, AFOQT and made flash-cards for memorizing. That was pretty helpful for me.
James Jacobs there are multiple practice tests in the books I mention. I practiced all those several times. I also took ASVAB practice tests and officer practice tests for other branches. The questions are similar, maybe worded a bit differently and different style of questions, I wouldn’t rely much on them for a “go to” source, but I used it as a way to get more practice in general and I’d always do them timed for practice as well. I found it to be mostly useful when practicing for the math sections, not so much the reading or word knowledge because it’s pretty spot on on the AFOQT the way the practice tests are in these books.
@@allisongrozdanich36 Thank you. I'm a SSgt in the AF and when I took my ASVAB originally, I made an 87. I'm 32 and my eyes are bad so I'm not trying to go rated. I'm going to take your advice on the books for sure thanks again and good luck!
Allison Grozdanich Awesome! I’m still a student, but I can go to the board in about a year, so it’s probably time to start working on the application 🙂
@@allisongrozdanich36 Would you mind emailing me rymegan10@gmail.com? I would love to pick your brain about making it as a civilian with no prior service.
Thank you Allison for the study tips, I really enjoyed your video. I am scheduled to take the AFOQT for the first time later this week. I already own one of the books you recommended in your video. If I don’t make the score that I am hoping to get, maybe I will purchase the other books you mentioned for the second attempt.
Good luck! Having multiple resources is always the best bet. If you do take it a second time, not only will you know what you need to focus on, but you should feel more confident which makes a huge difference. The weeks leading up to the exam I was doing timed practice tests several times a week to get used to time constraints and practice to maintaining a calm mindset. The first couple sub-tests go by SO quick, you barely have time to think, but do you'll do great! Good luck!
Great video! I take the test tomorrow. I've been studying for almost 2 months. I bought 2 test prep books and 3 full practice tests I find online. If I don't pass it the first time it will probably be because of the word knowledge. I'll buy that book if I don't pass and decide to take it again. Thanks and good luck!
I did have to take the exam twice and fortunately all my subtests went up along with the word knowledge, so it all worked out in the end! If not, I highly recommend taking that 6 months to focus on what you need to focus on, and crush it the second time around! Good luck!
@@allisongrozdanich36 Awesome! Keep up the good work and give updates if you can. Will follow your progress. I'm looking into getting an age waiver (just turned 31) for a pilot slot.
