I live in the eurozone, however where I live we dont have euro as our currency. But the price increase of bonds almost doubled over night. Previously you could buy 10 bonds at the price of 6 with the new prices of bonds. If it only was 1 euro I would be fine, but for me its close to a 3 euro increase per bond. Memberships are cheaper than bonds at this point.

this is unavoidable, as time passes, you got more and more high level players, people getting more efficient at getting more coins, but the need of having bonds and the fixed number of membership days isn't changing. Now if you had more high level players quitting or if you reset the game similar to a fresh start world, then we saw how bonds would cost there idk something like 10k coins at start or such. This isn't affecting those sweaty elitist nerds, but it does affect the casuals or people who aren't good at the game or rarely play it. I mean if you have membership, you HAVE to play, otherwise it's going to waste.
@@Grovichun Except they were holding pricing steady until recently while spending more on infrastructure and presumably paying higher wages and expenses across the board, which means they were making less every year off existing players. They're also not hitting everybody who wants membership with it, they're just leaning on the wallet warriors and whales a bit. Buying bonds instead of straight up membership with real money is only useful in two cases: Dealing with name regrets and turning your real money into gold stacks through the GE. Personally, I think it's fine for them to milk the part of the player base that has extra money laying around to help shore up their finances. You have the right to disagree. I just wish you'd think more before throwing around buzz words and generalizations.

Price of bonds just went up by $2 per month $24 per year. it already takes about 700k GP per day income to sustain a bond, if the price rises to match real world costs per in game money then bonds will be increasing in price by 12% then thats about 784k in game money per day to sustain bond. That 84k is most of what's left over after a day of merching that people who rely on bonds just aren't going to have anymore. This will drive inflation up like crazy since the cost of everything in the game has kinda come to revolve around bonds. I see this as a potential source of people becoming burnt out and less interested in the game overall.
Jagex taking 1m per day just to sustain membership is going to kill motivation in casual players who are going to feel like they’re barely advancing their account. It’s obvious this is Jagex twisting the arms of casual players to pay for membership if they want to continue having fun or turn this game into a second job. I blame the Chinese investors who took over the company.
