Dad was the musical director at WHIO Radio/TV in Dayton, Ohio. Dad had a radio program 5 days a week where he played two or three songs on a Hammond B2 organ. When times changed and records took over Dad's B2 came home. I learned some basics and played organ most days before school. I always had a yearning for piano and stumbled on the Steinway I have now. I don't do this beautiful instrument justice. Dad always said you can't play organ and piano well, you either play organ or piano. I'm not sure I can play either one well but I hope you like some of my songs.
I don’t know what else to say except this is wonderful. There are so many people out there making amazing stuff I that gets lost in the sea of content.
Appreciated. I struggled with this piece. Hope to revisit it in a few months. It’s in Db that I believe is the way it was recorded. I have sheet music for C and thinking of playing it to show that it doesn’t sound the same.
Appreciate your comment. This 70 some year old Steinway Model D (carefully loved by previous owner) spoke to me when I first played it. Its richness is why I love it so much. Typically, songs in Eb or Db give me the best opportunity to show off its mellow tones. You’re playing is great.. of course I subscribed.
