Any tips for fight nerves I won my first fight but i almost gave up because of nerves the second one I completely shut down and gave up. Im not bad skill wise but my nerves hold me back. Any tips?
Holy shit. This is the most controlled boxing sparring I've seen on RU-vid. I train kickboxing/Muay Thai and always wondering why boxers spar so much harder than practitioners of other striking arts.
At some gyms they spar kind of hard and it makes some guys afraid to get in the ring. I like this pace of sparring. Feels safe. You shouldn't be ending up with black eyes during a sparring session.
I was just impressed that nobody let their ego take flight! I suppose that because it’s in a chill country and not America though. The likelihood of a light sparring session escalating to a full on brawl in a lot of gyms in America is roughly 50%. I’m not saying all, there are plenty good gyms where that shit won’t fly, but for every one of those, there’s one that’s proportionally shit. I always thought that there was an unspoken agreement in any form of sparring that you hit as hard as you’re willing to be hit, but that requires some level of trust and respect (which, let’s be honest, we Americans aren’t necessarily world famous for having in spades), so there’s always the potential for fuckery, even in some top tier spaces. Anyway, I apologize for the long winded comment. Great video, I enjoyed it. Will be perusing the back catalogue for a while.
Ah hell nah take that title off “Cubans the best boxers in the world” please don’t put “THE BEST IN THE WORLD” they’re “SOME” of the best not “THE BEST” if it was like that a Cuban would’ve been the face of boxing by now but No that’s not how it is
Tbh sure living under a dictatorship where they literally aren’t allowed to go professional that’s why they aren’t the “face of boxing” since barely anyone keeps up with amateurs
When Marwan fights anyone with any real speed and aggression, he'll get rocked. Keeps his left hand way to low and way too often (I understand he's just learning) and when he blocks his face, hands are so high, he'll get crushed by body shots. Decent movement, though. Keep it up!
@zara_kkkhan are you cuban??? And yes.. I Said mexico.. why don't you go and do some research and see what countries have the most champions in boxing .. United States is number 1 followed by mexico then puerto rico
Ok, so just to make sure i understand- throw a combo of 4-5 punches in the air, right in front of the bag, and then on the last strike hop in with all your bodyweight behind it, correct?
Don't look at the eyes, look at the chest and aim for the chest when you punch. All that silly head movement won't do a thing because the head will be moving in the direction the punch is being thrown.
@@TurkBaykal no point in showboating in a friendly spar, I forgot the dudes last name but that has always been his style. Prince Naseem had such a similar style and nobody said he was showboating.
In sparring why would you not give it your all? Unless you’ve got a match soon, I feel like going easy would be an extreme waste of practice time. Especially since going a little hard can gauge your natural peak ability compared to others. No such thing as a light spar 😂
Depends on your sparring partner here. Communication and being humble helps. Just a simple request for a light match is all it takes and I never had someone refuse that request. Most people know that you might be recovering from a match or injury or simply Just dont feel like going hard that day
