It's sad and pathetic that games are getting more censored and sanitized these days. The gaming industry really needs a good crash to reset things. Increasing censorship is just of one of the many problems plaguing this industry. Hopefully one day the industry can return to something resembling more like the 90s and 00s.
What i think is an issue is people who brush off the little censorships as "Not a big deal" or that "people complain too much." Criticism is not complaining. And, if you give companies an inch, they will eventually take a mile.

I think its cause of the backlash against Asian people in general, maybe they thought having a bad guy in a game be Asian was a bad idea with all those attacks

If CRAPcom wanted me to give them money for another Dead Rising game, then they should’ve dropped the whole name ending with the letter K crap (whose ridiculous idea was that anyway?!), and given us a sequel starring a female protagonist. One who isn’t fat or ugly, is *actually female,* doesn’t hate men or sympathize with criminals, and while she is brave, knows her limitations. You know… someone like… Jill Valentine! Better yet, make a Resident Evil game that plays like a Dead Rising game; where Jill has to survive for 3 days in a zombie-infested mall, make use of various weapons she can find, save as many survivors as she can, and have customizable clothing. I’d pay double the usual video game price these days, to play that.
I'm not for objectifying Women but the Kent "Funny shot" I'm not for hating an entire ethnic group but the "because your a mole" beta it is a game it's a fake character why tf are we pandering to the people who are mentally weak who care so much about a fake characters feelings. We can't make jokes, can't tell stories in movies or games unless the woke mob feel it's okay but they would get mad at you if you so much as just breathe 1 to many times than they feel is right in one day. Also I'm part German and Jewish does that mean you can't make any jokes towards me because I might feel offended? TBH I can't wave at my Jewish friends because it's like I'm Saluting to them.
ill never understand people complaining about things being woke, because it feels like the definition of it got lost in the sauce at some point that it lost its original meaning, but as someone who is arguably in that "woke" mindset, i dont like the changes made for the remaster. it feels like it lost some of its bite, esp as a game from the 2000s. god, let some of them be the absolute assholes that they originally were. and also keep the violence. M rated. its a shame that it happened, but it cant be helped. its obvious they want money by milking a classic for the modern era, and cater to being "safe" for everyone. while some changes are understandable, i dont agree with all of them, such as the "sexiest shot" bit because that character is an asshole. also, the voice acting needs work. some dont pack the same punch as the originals did.

Well aside from Thomas, most of this secret cutscenes were already in the original. Kind of disappointed though that i can't bring Thomas back to the safe house
Honestly we never know, he either killed himself cause he couldn’t handle losing his family or died by the zombies or military cleanup, we’ll never know though. Still it’s a cool detail in the remaster that if you kill his brother & dad 1st, Thomas basically gives up since he wasn’t a psycho like the other 2.
The game marks him as "Lost" in the notebook, which kinda just means you'll never know. lol Considering his firearm skill, it's possible he'll survive the zombies, but probably not from the military
Another censorship: One of the achievements from the OG called "Frank The Pimp" where you had to escort 8 female survivors got changed to "The Grateful Eight"
Not very major in my honest opinion, if they censored the blood or guts or completely removed characters and missions then I can understand the discourse but this is just a huge overreaction… I don’t regret buying the game and this is coming from an OG fan… it’s fun as hell
So sad to see Capcom and, well seemingly all the major Japanese devs now falling to the w0ke mind virus. Took them longer to catch-up but now it's in full force. Not much left now that isn't ruined...
Imagine being upset at an Asian portrayal in an Asian made game on behalf of Asians and making them swap out the Asian guy with a white guy so the Asians won't get upset. And erotic shots are bad. Thats the "modern audience that totally exists."
Wokeness ruins yet another masterpiece. I'm just glad I grew up when I did and got to enjoy all the games of the 90s and 2000s era in all their uncut glory.
