Hello there! I'm Chris Scullion and I'm a Tired Old Hack. I've also been a professional games journalist since 2006 and have been a gamer for more than three decades. Tired Old Hack is a website (tiredoldhack.com) and RU-vid channel dedicated to covering games old and new (but mostly old), with three key aims:
- informing and entertaining you - using the best quality footage (captured myself where possible) - being Scottish
I know this is a super old video.. but you calling something a bug when the snowman is ahead of you waiting for you and not the other way around.. No bug at all, you just blind mate lol.
what they should have done on all console versions was give us the option to buy more Sega games to add to the library, would love to have games like Truxton, snow bros ETC
this other drug tape videos pevious one ı think bcouse use smilar sand ps1 scenes. intresting thing many of this tape games out on sega saturn. other 2nd part 97 tape most of games only ps1 or pc not saturn. ı dont remeber raging skies and depth game. they both relased as namedbogey dead6 and fluid. both look great in this but yet forgottan to compared other games weirldy.
I'm still trying to find the VHS tape I was given before the PlayStation was launched. It was given to me at Toys 'R Us in around August 1996 and showed 8 rolling demos of the launch titles. I watched it probably 30 times before finally saving up enough to buy one a few months later.
And low it did come to pass that this worm (who's parent couldn't even spell Filip properly) did do a runner and was never seen again. And that makes him innocence on all charges of course 😉
NO ONE has ever exercised like that 7:40 I'm sure that'd murder your Achilles tendon. As a professional idiot I bought the GC version of Twilight Princess but only after a couple of years sold it. Wasn't the sequel to Red Steel apparently really good set in a stylised kinda cartoon samurai world. On the first one I used to own a games shop and a mum came in and asked me about Red Steel and I told her it was a 15 for violence etc. Mext day she came back furious that this was inappropriate for her son. So I told her all the details are on the back you knew what it was like. Some people don't like to be confronted by the truth. Those first laser shot on Mega Man ZX sound suspiciously like Star Wars ones 1:21:00 I'm just a tad late to the party (only discovered the channel after buying the DC & N64 Encyclopedias) but I'd listen thru a dissection of E3 etc.
That looked pretty good! A soundtrack that isn't no name bands, very good character models, neat replays and mini games. I might have to downlo... er buy this.
You used the American SNES for the cover. Is that because the USA market is bigger for your books? I say this as the USA SNES is about as ugly a console as it's possible to design.
Don't worry, the book has two different covers! The North American version of the book has that SNES on the cover, but the European version of the book has the EU SNES (i.e. the one that looks like the Super Famicom) on the cover.
@@TiredOldHackHooray! I should never have doubted you 🙂 Probably already said I have the DC & N64 ones already. Will be being the PS1 book upon release if I'm still around then (long story) so for now it's a toss up between Mega Drive & SNES to buy. Argh choices choices .
Great book. I know little about the n64 apart from it's graphics looking like a water colour left out in the rain, but now I can pretend I do! Highly recommended. And the Dreamcast book is superb as well.
Thanks for doing this, What an amazing thing to see these on Ebay. Come here to see some actual pictures and find the guy that makes them. I will try to buy from you direct.
0:48 "now I can finally string a sentence together without sounding like John Hurt playing the elephant man" 😂 I love your sense of humour Chris, it really showed in your writing especially in ONM. Also loved watching you stream Disney Speedstorm, would love to see you Twitch more (if you can find the time and if you enjoy it!)
@@TiredOldHack Absolutely, I mean it even the over abundance of trash talking FMV cutscenes Etc. I wonder if it had some of the same devs as Road Rash, or was originally meant to be on the 3DO? But speaking of which, a lot of the early PS1 games were ports of 3DO games, like Road Rash, Need for Speed, FIFA, Madden, Return Fire Etc. So they could have hired ex 3DO staff as it was a similar system.
But Chris, she likes playing as Daisy in Super Mario Bros Wonder so you should hate it with a passion! :P I will have to try out Under The Waves sometime this year. It is on sale at the moment on Xbox and Steam for those interested.
I want to support the Gold Master Series purely because I believe it should be what more re-releases should aspire to, even if I don't have much interest in Karateka.
Greetings from the HBomberGuy review! I hope you don't have to deal with this kind of crap anymore, Chris. Bless those with creative inclinations and fertile imaginations.
