Oh the irony.. Dear Sonny/ Skrillex, please ask Joel Deadmau5 where the beautiful, Symphonic Crickets came from at the beginning of Cinema… latest, aka latest one that he unleashed within the last few years.. #SKIMena Like, legit ask him to produce the original sounds. thanks, Damagement
Lol did he really say '...when trance was invented, back in 1996, 1997, 1998..99'. No bro. Trance was not invented then. Maybe listen to some Dance to Trance, Age Of Love, Jam & Spoon - then come back.
Had a bad Friday night and decided I'm done. Can't do this anymore. That was April of 1993. I'm happy to say that April of 2024 was my 31 years clean and sober. Did it all on my own without one relapse.
deadmause is bittt-tter, but he won't admit it. the Bieber track is awesome, its sound quality is amazing. he is bitter because he lost sonny...like he makes pop music too. soo hypocrite
Good! I never knew you even knew each other even though I have listened to heaps of both your music. I would love to see somthing new from both you together. Two true kings of trance edm music.
When it released I had the same perspective, but 8 years later, after becoming a music producer, and after watching the mini-doc about the song, I think this is such an ignorant take. Justin was the one who started the process, they did multiple drops until the found the right one. I imagine if this was a song released by a new singer and artists at the scene... It would get that kind of hate.
Armin is glad that everything is "ok". However, van Dyk´s version is quite the opposite, according to his last post on Instagram. So... what´s the true version?
The best years of trance were 98-2002. There have been some diamonds in the rough post 2002 but cell phones, dj worship and copy cat songs hqve sadly become the status quo
I spun Trance from early 99 through 2011 or so. 98-2002 were definitely a heyday but you could still find some excellent tracks depending on where you looked and what style grabbed you most. I noticed more of a gradual decline in popularity as Hardcore and NRG became more popular and DJs moved from Techs to CDJs or MP3 with a controller and producers moved with the trend, which makes sense if they wanted to sell their music or have it heard. At least thats what happened in my neck of the woods. I was able to get booked right up until I decided to quietly bow out. The writing had been on the wall for a while and Trance seemed out of place in a scene that only wanted harder-faster 170 or 180+ BPM... Thats too fast to really dance, and seemed more suited for people in K-holes and that really tainted the beauty of the whole scene for me, I loved playing for the dancers and all the Kandi-Kids spreading the PLUR. Those were definitely my people even though I never sported the look.
PVD still hasn't been compensated even though the company was found guilty because they're challenging it in court in the USA now? AVB still uses the company who are founded by his friends instead of doing the decent thing and ending the business relationship. AVB doesn't care one bit, what a piece of shit.
8 years on and you clearly don’t give a shit, you say all this for the cameras and media but in reality you’re another piece of shit. Maybe next time take control of your shit and this might not happen again.
Sadly, trance is dead. Old trance was the best. My favorite trance was the one that had vocals and sometime without vocals. Armin's imagine album was amazing. But now it is just sad.
As someone who spun trance for over a decade starting in the late 90s... This comment makes my heart very sad. This was the first video I picked when I searched "What happened to Trance Music". At least it sounds like you enjoyed it while it was relevant :)
I’m Christian although not in the traditional sense but I’ve always liked and respected this guy. He’s interesting and his thoughts and beliefs are strong and that’s what matters. Firmly standing on convictions is what matters
