Great tutorial - Thank You! How you dertermine the Key Signature for transcribing trad Pentatonic tunes? They don't have the same number of accidentals as their 7-note scale counterparts, but a D Major Pentationic Scale still feels pretty much like the Major scale, even without the C sharp.
Great question! The key signature remains the same. D Major Pentatonic will have an F sharp and a C sharp. The pentatonic scale will not use the C sharp. However if you are harmonizing and want to use the dominant chord of A major, you will need the C sharp. Hope this helps!
