Was at the game at the Open End, the old clock end. Great game. Layer Road properly packed. Second half Archie Gemmill was properly chopped down in the U's penalty area. Should have been a pen, oh dear, never mind.

August 1980. The South Stand (the side facing the camera) was destroyed in a 'mystery blaze'. Rovers didn't own the stadium and their landlords (the greyhound racing company) wanted them out anyway (in 1986 they got their wish) so the stand was never rebuilt.
