I don't like it that you didn't evacuate the line set and evaporator before you released the refrigerant into the system, but I guess your engineers have taken this into consideration. Personally I NEVER skip the evacuation step but I guess requiring that would negate the DIY nature of the system. FYI I just bought six of these PerfectAire systems. Three of the 24kBTU and three of the 12kBTU.

On mine, before I can separate the coil by depressing the tab @ 3:38, there are 4 screws holding the right side of the coils to the fan motor cover that have to be removed. After that, it comes apart as shown in the video.

I have a Danby dehumidifier and after emptying the water bin, the P2 light stays on. I have fiddled with the float in the bucket and the contact lever in the machine and both seem to move freely, I have unplugged it and plugged it back in- no difference. When the P2 light is on, none of the buttons at the top will respond. I am concerned that the circuit board is fried. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I have an intertek unit. Been installed for couple years & has been fine. We get a big rain & now I get this error code. If this just occurred for the first time… wouldn’t the wiring already be right? And it’s the storm that somehow messed with it? It’s the only appliance that was affected.

Is it okay to turn the cool to max?
@PerfectAire
@PerfectAire 3 месяца назад
Hi SuperFriday- Using the "max" setting on your window AC all the time might not be necessary and could increase energy consumption. It's typically best to use the "max" setting when you need rapid cooling, such as during extremely hot days, and switch to lower settings once your desired temperature is reached to maintain comfort efficiently.

Well i was going to do this but when i saw how much personal information they need just so i can control my air conditioner, i think i will just use the buttons on the machine I mean they dont need my address to change temp. They dont need access to my camera and contacts. They dont need any of it and they are not getting into my device. They are going to collect and sell Can you say identity theft risk?

Larger A/Cs can blast out the cold air and cool quickly, but smaller and less expensive A/Cs can do the same by working slow and steady over a longer period. One trick is to start one up first thing in the morning when it is still cool outside. The A/C will work more efficiently and you can get ahead of the mid-day heat.

Smaller units are also MUCH easier to install because they are relatively light weight. Also, much cheaper to replace when they die.

There must be a huge factory somewhere building these in huge quantities for several companies. The Perfect Aire you installed is identical to the 5,000 BTU from Midea that I install yesterday. I took a shortcut to save time and avoid drilling holes in my window frame. I put a pair of bricks on the window sill to hold the A/C in place even when the window is opened.
